New Everton Stadium

It's absolutely ludicrous.

The stadium is sat right next to a sewerage plant and facing a line of ramshackle buildings.

If the council and conservationists were so concerned about the look of the place why was that left to happen?

It's a £700M investment by a football club using its own cash that will regenerate that whole area of Liverpool.

We should get whatever we want to be there. But all we've had so far is a disgraceful transport plan that does its level best to deter anyone getting to it.
Wow, I can't disagree with a word of that.

not many seats left in the south stand, but the north stand has loads

hopefully they will all move back over to the park end once they realise they have to stand for a whole match

Upper south will be seated.

I will genuinely move if I’m standing all game.

Will get my jabs to make sure I’m safe in amongst the Gwladys street mob though.

With regards to naming, I do think Everton should give an official name - i.e Bramley Moore Stadium - before then changing to a sponsored name. As for sponsored name, as long as it's a big name and not some obscure one (Stake, Angry Birds, SportPesa, Cazoo) I'll be happy. Bring on Toyota or Qatar Airways.

There is speculation that the team traveling to UAE this week is part of a tie in to the stadium naming rights, that the team will be doing photoshoots whilst they are there. I could see that, the TFG have links to brands in that region or it could be someone like Air Arabia, as their competitors already have big deals with Arsenal and Man City

It has an official name:

Everton Stadium

There's only one Goodison Park. By calling the new stadium that we take away the meaning of that name.

The stadium will be called what the highest bidder wants and that is fine as we need that income to try and bridge the gap to big boys that get 70+ million a year from matchday revenue.
I always remember Kenwright wanting to call Kings Dock "Goodison on the Water."

Not for me. It's like giving your new dog the same name as your old dog. Give Goodison some respect and let it be.

We've now got little melts posting videos like this, when it wasn't his

The only branding you will see will be what was included in the planning application (not the promo video). If we want to add the crest on to the stadium that would have to go through a new application.

Apart from the blue Everton banners that are going on the lamp posts it doesn't look like there will be much else.

As smart as the stadium looks apart from when it is lit up at night it does look a bit bland without much Everton stuff on it but I guess that was an important part of getting the planning approval in keeping the building in character of the surrounding area. It might be easier now the stadium has been built to test the Council to see if something extra could be applied for and approved.

Getting the planning permission was probably heavily induced because it was next to the sewage works.

An £800m investment in a neglected brownfield site should have got extreme investment between the stadium and the city centre.

Our council are absolutely not up for the job for a city which should be going through a boom right now. Manchester have got over a billion for an area round a stadium which doesn't need it, never mind the stadium or concepts even being put forward yet.

I remember watching the live stream for the stadium being approved, if they're the people in charge of the city i can see why we're left behind.

Absolute brain dead self important bells.

I think the bland name is on purpose. Imagine being a potential sponsor being asked for tens of millions a year for naming rights and in the back of your mind you're thinking "they're not going to call it The Cheeto Dome, they're going to just keep calling it Goodison Park". You'd walk away, or offer less money.

The same can happen with sponsored stadia. For example what's Bolton's stadium called? In my mind it's the Reebok Arena but it hasn't been called that in ages, it's currently the Toughsheet Community Stadium. I bet very few people say they're heading down the Toughsheet.

Middlesbrough made that mistake.

They had the "Cellnet Riverside Stadium" - but everyone called it "The Riverside".

Now they don't have a sponsor and it's just "Riverside Stadium."

Have 19 years tenure but waiting till next Wednesday when my partners able to get one. Mad how seats keep appearing that where shown as sold. Guessing some are sitting there adding seats to their baskets over and over again until they can buy them

I'm really surprised about the availability of the corner seats. Top of the Lower or bottom of the upper, with a combination of good perspective and atmosphere. Can't wait

I think the corner views are great, which is why i went for one.

Preference would have been to have the same view i have now, pretty much bang on the half way line, but i knew that was unrealistic from day 1.
Corner seats were brilliant, i got one for the test event, loved it.

Walked all over the south stand and tried loads of seats, although high at the back, the view was spectacular.

I would have been delighted anywhere, but I’m really happy where we managed to get.

Sorry I hate this view. It looks like a ferry terminal..

Looks much nicer than either of those examples, and it absolutely doesn’t resemble the carbuncle of Anfield like our old, old ground after the scruffs have finished with it.

I wonder if everything hasnt been released at once so people get chance for other stands too - doubt it like but you never know
