New manager

How many years ago was he at Boro? A team he won a trophy with btw.

We're looking to stay in this PL and a boost to that end would be to hire a manager who has respect and has energy.

I dont care what manager we bring in, btw. I just know that if we get beat by Spurs there'll be a lot more people than me looking to punt him back where he belongs into retirement and get a manager in who can inspire us to some victories.

The Spurs game - if that ends in defeat panic will set in. I think these owners should be ahead of the game on that. Planning for Moyes instant successor.
Discounting his club management because it was 15 years ago, but praising his playing achievement 20 years ago? Brilliant

There's no one who wants that win against Spurs more than me.

I dont care about managers ultimately. If he keeps us up this season Ild be relatively ok with him seeing out his contract and I think with a pre-season with them we'd be in decent shape next season.

But I just dont think this feller has the big bounce we need in him to inspire us in the remaining games. We're almost certainly looking for others to relegate themselves.

He's basically reacted to the Villa loss by saying Dyche was right: we need more players and the players we have aren;t good enough. What we need is a man who keeps it tight but maybe gets another 5% out of the attacking players and / or buys a finisher to get us safety.

Moyes looks beaten already to me.

As I say, if we get beat against Spurs there'll be panic setting in.

It's not the first time I've called for a Plan B to be ready...I think we'll need it.
Maybe.

I think we all know this squad isn’t up to it. DCL needs to go, he’s lost. The blonde haired fella to me isn’t up to it. Harrison is very poor, we need an attacking midfielder, striker and right winger, at least, pronto.

I don’t think panic sets in if we lose to spurs , but he doesn’t beat them then we have to win the next game…

Maybe not full scale panic but I think losing to Spurs would be a massive wake up call for a lot of people. Dyche has been the bogeyman for a lot of people and there's been an attitude that everything would be fine once he went. I think 2 home losses instead of a new manager bounce would set a lot of alarm bells going off that maybe it wasn't that simple after all. It's a very winnable game though, if we can do it and the others around us lose we'll all start breathing a bit easier.

I'd be looking to bring in Southgate if Moyes doesn't get a grip of this in the next few games - if he'd come.

As a last throw of the dice to keep us in this league he makes sense.

He'd have the respect of players and we'd get that bounce we need to get over the line.

He should have been brought in before Moyes.

I can only think he must have been approached and rejected the move.

Cash wise I'd make him an offer he couldn't refuse and for whatever length of contract he wanted.
I've heard it all now.
But I'll try to answer sensibly-ish
But I've also now broken my own rule of One Game at a Time

P20 17pts
1) We need players in NOW, not 1155pm on the last day
2) we need Doucoure on the bench, Harrison and Broja returned to their clubs.
3) Moyes has to get some points in the board - that means goals

P21 H Spurs
P22 A Brighton

Window closes

Moyes Still needs to get some points on the board
P23 H Liecester
P24 H the postponed Derby

Moyes will stay until TFG decide to blink...Southgate though - gtf

If we're not spending...and it looks like that's the case - these players need motivating and I dont see a figure like Moyes being inspirational...in fact he's told those players they are not quality players and we need quality in.

I just think a manager like Southgate could inspire. He's got credibility as an ex-England manager...one of the better ones....and he'd turn a few matches our way.

I could see players wanting to get out on the pitch for him.

His best moment since his first England cap was a Pizza Hut advert where they put a paper bag over his head.
