New manager

Moyes football is far from exciting but it is nowhere near as bad as this season under Dyche.

Allardyce even played far more effective football than this.

This season is most unwatchable football I've ever witnessed. And it's why I'm not watching any more games live until there is a change.
The overall play would probably be the same as our players are collectively crap.

We have gaping holes all over the squad and it's not like we have superstars not getting a game.

No one is turning this team into a high scoring team. But there are a few simple things where there is massive room for improvement for a new manager

Our pressing and intensity to win the ball has been abysmal this season

We don't commit men forward in attack. We float long cross field balls into the box to only 1 or 2 attackers.

We hardly ever see runners in behind the opposition defence.

We hardly ever see full backs make runs on the overlap.

We have no style of play. Not even simple counter attacking structures.

Our set plays have even declined significantly this year

A new manager can absolutely improve things. We won't become a good team as a result but we aren't this bad either.

I don’t think we can leap to a complete purist like Potter, but we need a halfway sort of manager, entertaining but pragmatic like Frank or Iraola.
Hard to imagine either leaving their current clubs for us now, but I’d be targeting either of those long term.
Terzic ? I have to be honest I don't know enough about him.

I disagree personally, I think most of them are rubbish and are not capable of anything. We don't have the legs to press nor the full backs tom overlap and make runs. We struggle to do basics and if we are short of even one or two players like we are right now we struggle even more.

I agree our set plays have gone worse and I am sick of commentators banging on about them as if we are good at them, we are not.

I think what I am saying is we can have both a bad manager and rubbish players. I'm not convinced anyone coming in changes that for the rest of the season.

I disagree with the idea that we can't at the very least show improvement in the areas I listed. What I've seen this season in attack has been so dreadful and so far below what's acceptable. The bar is so low.

I think a new manager can 100% make some small improvements that can make a difference.

yeah I get th`t but Leicester and forest have both proved its a fine line between a relegation squad and a squad that can but near the top. Confidence, strategy, both will improve the same group

Yeah fair enough, I think our squad is absolute dirt though. Bournemouth, Brentford etc are not miles better than us player for player but they have options all over the pitch. If they lose a left back they play another left back not a 40 year old right mid etc.

It would be a tough job as there really isn't a lot to work with.

Indeed but Leicester and Forest (and most other clubs) have actual functioning squads. Multiple players for each position, youngsters looking to step up etc. We have a bunch of loanees and retirees and 3 strikers all with the same traits. It's grim.
