Nope. I've had pains and pins and needles in my arm ever since the jabs.. getting on two years now.Apparently everyone will be able to book in for a booster jab from 5th April. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...england-spring-care-home-residents-infections
What's your take? Will you get one? Do you feel oppressed by the offer? Are you resisting being part of Bill Gates' 'Borg' army?
Correct.I'm not having another. I've had three and had covid twice. I'm by no means an anti vaccination person and have always thought that having the jab was a sensible choice, until my unbelievably healthy, hard working and amazing dad, despite being 83, had his fourth booster and was in A&E 48 hours later with heart failure. A day short of two weeks later and he was gone. I honestly don't know if it was the covid booster that brought this on, I don't even want to think that that was the reason, but its changed my mind.
I'm on 4...and a flu jab to come in a few weeks - that's enough.How many is that for y’all? I think I’m still a booster ahead.
I have a flu vaccine each year, so personally this'll be no different.
True, but even mild symptoms puts you at risk for long COVID.But my sense is that the serious version of this disease is gone and it's now more of a "nuisance"
I'm on 5 (2 primary series and 3 boosters).I'm on 4

I'm apparently high-risk due to heavy asthma & overweight but decided against any jabs as I believe Covid was only high-risk for elderly, obese & immune-compromised, and that the jabs didn't affect transmission. Injecting myself with a long-term untested new type of vaccine-technology didn't seem to be a sensible risk/benefit scenario, especially given that I've a history with weird unpleasant side-effect reactions to certain active-ingredients I've had medicated from time to time. I preferred to trust my immune-system to grant me anti-bodies at the infection level.
Turns out these considered assumptions were correct. The vast majority of unvaccinated non-risk individuals had relatively mild Covid, and now have natural immunity at least as effective as the 'immunity' granted from the jabs.
Further, I believe the jabs are foremost a cynical profit-making machine...a machine so powerful it influenced politics & media (who then enjoyed the power a little too much). This is still a matter of debate, sure. There is however a lot of evidence for this.
I do believe for those genuinely high-risk (elderly, obese, immune-compromised etc) that there is good evidence the jabs helped prevent serious illness or even death. Anyone worried about Covid should have the option to take a vaccine (much like with the flu).
Thought-Experiment: if only worried folk took it, what difference would that have made to Pharma-profits? To media-consumption? To political influence in daily lives? What difference would it have made to death statistics? To the current worrying trends of excess-deaths? To the mental health of individuals? To the financial health of small businesses? To the cognitive-development of kids?
For relatively healthy & fit under-60's (even ones with asthma) the available data shows no appreciable statistical difference in severity of illness/death whether vaxxed or unvaxxed in the Omicron era. Omicron acted like a natural vaccine for many...
As ever, each to their own...no one should feel pressured either way. For sure the scientific method has been severely understood by the general public, not helped by a compromised politics & media. Ironically, it's been the 'anti-science'-branded vaccine-sceptical who've been more faithful to the scientific method than anyone else: test, prove, interpret data > repeat until no new trends apparent -> apply scepticism > draw considered conclusion.
The pressure got really intense for the unvaccinated at some point: Austria & Germany considering making it actually illegal - with actual jail-time considered - to not get the vaccine! Influential politicians & 'experts' telling the world the unvaccinated represented a danger to others! That was a blatant propaganda-lie not backed by any reliable science...but there's more...The unvaxxed not allowed at events or even shops! Some - even on here - were ready to take away fundamental human rights for those refusing to take it.
Lest we forget how easy it can be to convince the masses that one particular group is worthy of total villification...
Personally I've had confirmed Covid once, and a further time it was suspected. Both mild. Had worse colds.
But imagine how bad it could've been without the jabs etc.
I got the initial jab and booster but tailed off subsequently when travel restrictions were lifted. I've had it 3 times (confirmed) and strongly suspect another time before testing was opened up to wider occupations/roles.
If it was shown to stop me catching and transmitting then I'd get it without doubt but I've seen nothing to suggest that's the case - more than open to being corrected on this.
Cant believe you wrote, and I read, all that...#inb4movetoCA
