And, just as we start to talk about Leeds, who will they be playing as part of their pre-season preparatons? yes, the barcodes will be entertaining them!!!

What a curtain opener for the 2010/11 season in Div 3!!!

They are playing Burnley too. It's always nice when big Premier League teams host a little team. It lets the little team's fans have a big day out.

17/06/200919:11 I'm looking forward to it... No more prima donnas, proper football fans, proper football stadiums no more MFI bog standard (stadium of light etc), realistic prices, availability of tickets,,,,, brilliant, this is why i fell in love with the Toon.

17/06/200919:16 aye the Premiership is over hyped and full of small clubs

Oh my goodness.

Full of small clubs? :D

I laughed at that bit too.

Ah well, let them get back to being in there own deluded little bubble.

To be honest, I couldn't think of anything worse going down to London on a Friday night, to play in the pissing down rain in a 3000 seater, no roofed stadium  But enjoy it, you clueless bunch.

Beyond belief: Newcastle were relegated, the club is in crisis but STILL players land a £10m bonus | Mail Online

Its not all doom and gloom in jawdee land. At least the players are happy

Beyond belief: Newcastle were relegated, the club is in crisis but STILL players land a £10m bonus.

Newcastle's shamed players are about to share a £10million reward for their disastrous relegation campaign in another startling illustration of the financial shambles that has engulfed St James' Park.
In a development that will infuriate an already despairing Toon Army, it has emerged that beleaguered owner Mike Ashley is committed to paying his players massive 'bonuses' at the end of this month, less than six weeks after they tamely surrendered Newcastle's place in the Barclays Premier League.

With senior figures such as Michael Owen and Mark Viduka due annual loyalty payments believed to be in the region of £400,000, the overall bill will be around £10m.

As much as I dislike them, I am troubled by gloating, we (the royal blue 'we') have been to the wall too many times to find merriment in a suffering that looked so inevitable for us once.
