I was looking forward to the BBC having live Championship games. They have 10 game they're going to televise...

Only problem is that they seem to be giving the cash to the Barcodes being that almost every game they've announced involves them...

Other mentions are Derby, Cardiff, and West Brom.

Bids meet Newcastle asking price

Ashley admits to having made "terrible decisions" during his tenure
Newcastle United managing director Derek Llambias has claimed that at least two acceptable offers have been received for the club.

Owner Mike Ashley, who spent £134.4m to assume control in May 2007, announced in June that he would entertain bids of £100m for the Championship side.

"There have been more than two bids at £100m," said Llambias.
Any deal of around £100m would represent a significant loss for billionaire Ashley who is estimated to have put around £244m into the club during his time in charge.

PMSL. Not the best business move Ashley will make.

BBC Gossip
1547: Michael Owen will be paid over £50,000 a week by Newcastle for the rest of the month, even though he has already joined Manchester United.

Seems Newcastle still have to make up the difference. :)

Did someone tell them that it's too late, that they've already been relegated?

Im sorry, outside of Everton, seeing them relegated was the finest part of last season. Hopefully, they dont come back up. If they do, you can sure as hell bet that it will be with a complete fanfare of how they are back and how the Premier League will be fearing them.

Hopefully, we will have a sustained period without the barcodes.

As an aside, I wonder how their ticket sales have been going for this upcoming season.

OK, to be fair tothe barcodes, dont actually believe all this stuff about only three people, and anyway, more will buy it in the future. We football fans are mugs when it comes to shirts, and this year, I have never seen such a bad set of horrid designs.

Anyway, just seen a shot of the 'castle store. those poor players looking glum as you like sat in a row in their lovely yellow shirt signing authographs for fans.

Even I felt sorry for them.
