Yeah but he's also not supposed to be our first starter every week while he's still learning...maybe we have options now and he can have a rest or learn more
Gordon is ace. Gray is the only one fast enough to read him and that screwed us via injury tonight. To imply he is not there yet is rubbish.

Felt sick watching that, it’s the fear of yet another false dawn more than anything. I know it’s only the managers second game, it’s the manner in which we lost.

It’s why I don’t get overly carried away at any positives, the feeling of being let down yet again. It sounds bad , I felt like just jibbing it off all together watching that second half and I’m someone who witnessed the Walker era.

Very sobering indeed to witness that, a horrible and very timid display by players who were probably stared out in the tunnel and knew the result..

Everton players now really do need to go to a Marine or Skem Utd match to learn the traits of pride, bottle and never say die. They are truly rotten to the core and never, ever rise to the occasion. No matter what support they get. Championship could be the real reset for us.
We always bottle it when the pressure is on. But this isn't missing out on Europe. This is a baaaaaad situation.

It's perfectly fine for Lampard to play the kind of football he wants his teams to play. But unfortunately for him, as he'll have learnt tonight, our 3 CB's tonight simply are absolutely not up to it and never will be.

Holgate and Keane are both simply atrocious footballers. Seen better in lower Championship level.
Mina just an injury merchant and far too erratic.
Branthwaite not confident he's up to the task yet.
Coleman is finished. Patterson needs to start and get some match experience ASAP.

To Moshiri, Kenwright and Co - did ya see that little blond fella in the royal blue, the one passing and linking teammates, looking at ease and in control (while the rest huffed, puffed and stumbled around), well that's the type of player, or two, you've needed for the last F decade...or two.

He did look decent.
