Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

It may well be pretty normal, having never bought a football club I havnt a clue. But my pea sized lock down fried brain cant get beyond the club is lending £150m to one of several parties that want to buy it.

I am the same mate. Look it might be fine but it looks a typical to me, especially if you believe that billions are going to be spent over the forthcoming years. It seems inconsistent to me.

Im not a fan of Newscastle at all.

But who are we to say fans are not able to dream, they have fans that love their club as much as we love ours.

Wouldn't it be brilliant if they got took over and the new owners were exactly as miserly and penny pinching as Ashley?

They've spent money, they've just spent poorly.

That's not Ashley's fault, that's whoever's it is buying the players. He's obviously gotten tired of throwing money down the drain on rubbish and won't keep doing it - I'd do the same.

I've seen a few Newcastle fans turning their nose up at Poch and say they would prefer Rafael. I doubt Poch would ever go to Newcastle but I couldn't think of a better manager to come and rebuild and change the whole mentality of a club from the way they play/train. But they would prefer Rafael if given the choice :hayee:

We don't think as one, as Everton fans don't think as one.

Newcastle have been running at a profit because of Ashley, we'd be able to spend a lot more than an extra £30m a year.

Being able to spend big and spending well are two very different things.

As we've learned the hard way here.

Top players are very hard to attract when you are mid table (or lower as with NUFC), regardless of the money on offer.

As we've learned very well here.

A top manager is the most important and most achievable first step.
