I didn't think the naming rights affected FFP because it was infrastructure related or some such - I may well be wrong though, I often am. Also I think
@catcherintherye 's comment about FFP being overhauled is a very likely scenario if it hits the usual suspects at the top of the money tree. Either way though, I think we will have wriggle room in our spending to get the right players in for the right money. If FFP and more money is present due to the naming rights, etc. then I suspect we'll see a few decent incoming transfers.
As for Newcastle, £115million 'allowed' for spending?!? Mike Ashley is an absolutely brilliant businessman if that's the case. When other teams are up against the wall, he's got one that is still in the black. As much as it pains me to admit it, but that's the foundations for long term stability and growth even if it's not so dramatic or exciting if you are a fan. Their stadium and training ground may need updating, and their players are at best unispirational, but if the balance book is positive, eventually it'll start working out. If I was a Saudi investment fund manager, I'd want that kind of business acumen tied into the deal!
Anyway, the day is nice and the sun is out, Shearer wants Mbappe to sign up and Pochettino drops a hint about his future club having to win a trophy. Perhaps Shearer's baldy head has had too much sun and Poch is back off to Spurs? Or maybe today is the day for #cans!
