Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

One of the few times I thought I was in physical danger was about 20 years ago when my stepdad (who was a lovely man but had left school at 13) suggested I join him and my mum in the local charva bar they frequented and I had never been in, to join their quiz team. We (I) won the quiz without dropping a point and this qualified for the snowball which had been running for weeks and was £200. I also won this (who wrote Kidnapped) and the whole place turned into the Slaughtered Lamb and we left without finishing my pint.

Someone had a quiet word with him during the following week that I was not welcome back as I was “a clever [Poor language removed]”
Was that in Newcastle?

lol Christ used to see that happen often. Used to like a play on a fruity. Don’t see people playing them so much these days which is a bit of a shame:(

There’s a cab driver and a plasterer in one of my locals that are absolute demons on the fruity and will happily put in 50 in one session.

They circle the fruity like sharks when other people are playing it lol

Used to like throwing in a few quid myself. If I got the impression someone was sharking us I’d play dead slow until they lost interest. If seen people totally kicking off over this

Well the first tweet is unavailable, so I presume that it's a well reasoned analysis of the precariousness of the financial system post Covid and that sports washing is fairly repugnant, and it would be better to be an honestly run business under Ashley than a knock about plaything of a highly questionable regime.

Followed up with a #cans

Yes it makes it much worse. It goes without saying Saudi don't have to convince themselves of anything as they are not the judge. Of course they think they are in the clear. The easy play would have been them acknowledging what they do and taking steps to remedy it. Instead they seem to be doubling down and entrenching positions.
