I can’t see Newcastle ever being a force. They had their chance a few years back and blew it. It’s not a place top players want to go to. The amount of money it would take to compete, it just won’t happen. The wages they would have to pay would be unbelievable. Never saw the fascination of them being a massive club. Well supported yes, but they have done nothing for centuries.
They are no bigger than Aston Villa.
From what i heard and read is States want to buy clubs with the City name, the location as the club name is what atracts them and it's all to do with marketing purposes. The annoying thing is we are ripe for this sort of takeover - City were bought to challenge and overtake Utd - with the Kopites doing well at present why wouldnt some wealthy awab man want to buy us, invest in the new stadium and surrounding Liverpool Waters project and have us as part of a North West blockbuster 4 clubs.
Our owners are fools for not courting interest from the Middle East.
They are. They are in the Prem and have been for years, for a start, whilst Villa have been floundering, Newcastle have bigger attendances and larger revenues. Is it because Villa won something of note over 35 years ago? Are they forever a ‘big club’ because of this?

Qataris who own Paris St Germain want to buy a stake in Leeds United.
Them across the park have had the Chinese try 3 times to buy them, This guy who wants to buy Newcastle failed last year, the Sheikh of Dubai (twice) and the older brother of the city owner who's the defact leader of the UAE also tried to buy them about 2 years ago. Look at Wolverhampton and both Milan clubs owned by the Chinese state owned conglomarates.
This is massive. They could go a long way now with that sort of investment.
We on the other hand will just be pushed further down the pan with that fraud Moshiri around. Best we can hope for is 8th/9th position unless he gets the finger out.

To be a big club you have to have won something since 1994Why isn’t it a place top players want to go? If the money’s there, players will go. Probably have said the same about City years ago, Liverpool too. Blackburn etc etc, I reckon Newcastle would be attractive to a buyer, especially at 350m, fantastic stadium with big crowds. Mosh bought into us and then Is gonna have to spend another 500+ on a stadium. 350 for Newcastle sounds like a snip. They are a big club, their following and stadium is big. What’s the definition of a big club? Do they have to have won something? If so, what time frame and when does the timing of the last trophy expire to disqualify them from being a big club? They might not be one of the traditional big clubs but they are, by no means, a small club.

lol Newcastle have been relegated twice in the last decade.
Never said Villa were a massive club, but they’re still bigger then your little North East gimp club.
The answer to your question about why wouldn’t some wealthy Arab buy us is in your post. They would have to invest over 500m into a new stadium. Newcastle is ready to go.
