They’ve had a strange little bond ever since the 90s mate and that 4-3 game, where Newcastle were just made up to have played a party in “der greatest game in PL histree”. If Newcastle had won or drew though, Big Red would’ve despised them and created a rivalry.

We tick more boxes than Newcastle do. Newcastle got hyped up by sky. Go back to when Merson said villa were a bigger club than Newcastle and some soccer Saturday members scoffed. If Merson had said the same thing at the start of the prem then no one would have batted and eye lid because it was obvious we were a bigger club. Now tell me what Newcastle have done since the start of the prem to make them a bigger club than villa. At least we’ve won a couple of trophies. We’ve also finished in the top four twice but at the time the top four never went into the champions league. Leeds are bigger than the mags.

Newcastle have finished in the top two twice and the top four way more times than Everton or Villa ever have in the premier league era to be fair.

As much as I hate to say it, a lot of our fans are really bitter towards Newcastle and it smacks of jealousy.
