Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

Haha mine didn't fall out a bit mate, I was as pleased as any Everton fan at yesterday's news.

Most if not all of my comments were back in April not now with hindsight.

It's the very first time the directors fitness test, and especially the length of time it's taken, has proved the straw that broke the camels back causing them to pull out. Its normally a formality however mad and bad you are

But then with hindsight you know that now.
Not hindsight in my case mate, feel free to vault me.

Mate many of us were saying in April that it wasn’t happening, this isn’t revisionism.

You're really on a winner there mate aren't you, because if it had happened absolutely noone would then be so petty as to trawl back and seek out those who thought it wouldn't, well perhaps some sad people might. We'd all be disappointed.

How on earth, without hindsight, you knew the directors test would stretch out so many weeks and be so reluctant to let them through despite all objections, as it had every single one in the past, I've no idea. It wasn't expected - hindsight tells you it happened.

Otherwise it was just blind faith they'd pull out for some reason - but they got to that directors test, no other 'failed bid' got anything like that far. It was that the league had objections over streaming piracy, the bid ownership, management structure and rights violations that caused the delay, this was unprecedented but congratulations if you predicted it.

It is hindsight

It wasn’t blind faith at all, it was a reasonable and rational conclusion as has proven to be the case. I’d say it was more a case of our fans prematurely dropping their arse AGAIN rather than it actually ever being genuinely close. You could smell the BS a mile off, Ashley has led everyone a merry dance for the EIGHTEENTH time since he’s been at the club.

Come on mate vaulting is just a bit of fun, it’s a bit of a laugh and nothing else to anyone ;)

Newcastle are so rubbish they make us look like Real Madrid, so in some ways it's impressive they have such a dedicated army of Blerts

Still funny though

Why isn't the directors test genuinely close? if the prem had passed it, the papers had been signed, there was no going back. - The premier league's reluctance to give the go ahead caused the withdrawal, not Ashley.

Once sole bidder status was lost after such a long delay anything goes including renegotiation hence the pull out.

This was different from all other bids as it had got to this test that's why I said it was impossible to predict it. If you thought it might fail for another reason (like every previous bid) then it didn't. Blind faith was just used as a 'catch all' for any other reason, it wasn't meant literally.
