Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

I know from media reports. PIF will own 80% they're wealth is reported to be £260 billion. They have reportedly said they are going to put " considerable " funds to enhance the investment ( in the community, training facilities and playing staff. Staveley will have 10% and the Reuben brothers the last 10%, they have wealth of £18 billion. There is a " natural " belief that it isn't just a play thing, all three investors have said the Club want to compete for everything if possible band provide the funds to do so. Contrary to what many on here think, the Saudis are heavily investing in the Club. Something to look forward to for all Newcastle fans. Beer nibbles and a good movie tonight. Stay safe everybody.

Nah they're not mate. You're still a tin pot yoyo club heading back to where you belong in the championship.

As we tried to tell you, nobody with any cash is ever going to pour it down the drain of Newcastle United. You were warned. For your condescending tone alone, you deserve the misery that's coming. Stay safe and enjoy your nibbles you massive bs artist.

Do any of these media reports address;
1) Why they have been haggling for months and years over price, potentially letting Newcastle get relegated
2) Why they haven't just paid the asking price themselves?
3) Why they haven't raised the funds? Why theyve accepted a loan from Ashley to help with all of these things?
4) Why theyve given up 20% of liquidity once Ashlet wouldn't drop his price.
5) Why other clubs called them time wasters.

But yes, these people are definitely going to spend billions needed to get Newcastle to move from perennial relegation fodder in the back end of nowhere, to one of the leading clubs.

They were told back then.

I've said it's going to be more difficult for EVERY Club. Don't think I did say we were going to overtake Everton or words to that affect. I can't help refering to the old saying " bald men fighting over comb " neither Club will be challenging Liverpool of City. We are worlds apart. It's is a fact however that SHOULD the takeover happen, Newcastle with considerable investment and some momentum, WILL be able to challenge and compete. It's already been accepted that it will make the PL more exciting. Newcastle fans must be overjoyed that for once, money will not matter, if there's a player they want they can get him hopefully because they can offer obscene wages. It is extremely naive thinking that Newcastle won't be able to attract players because money talks. It must be very frustrating for you fans with Liverpool overshadowing every thing you do. But I'm sure you'll be fine. Being in the top eight of the PL is nothing to be sniffed at. It's going to be exciting to watch you fight for a place in Europe next year. You're a proud Club with a loyal following and you genuinely, should be proud of that.

You wont be competing with a really really bad Everton last season, never mind City or Liverpool you absolute tit. Maybe one day you might make the top 8.

It’s only Martin Samuel in the Daily Mail, but it’s sobering reading for any Toon fan:

It was a year ago this week, sitting in Mike Ashley’s office, that he gave his view on how business is conducted at the highest end. ‘The reality with these deals is that once it gets out, if it’s not done, it’s probably not going to get done,’ he said. ‘The day someone buys Newcastle, it will happen like Manchester City. By the time the media find out, it’s already complete.’

January. That was the first time we heard about the Saudi Arabian takeover of Newcastle. On Sunday, it will be August. Ashley is not everyone’s cup of tea, but let’s not pretend he doesn’t know business.

Ends with:

Meaning we are back to Ashley’s office, a year ago. Very rich men get deals done, and then tell the world. Ashley said he reckoned on owning Newcastle for the rest of his life.

Big Ash is a massive weapon...but he's right there.

Calling out BS like a pro!
Holden would be proud the way you're taking out the 'phonies' mate... ;)

Unfortunate this. Could really do without another club suddenly being in the money, could affect us in coming seasons.

Wrong as ever, big Red

Their owner stands to bank a sum in the region of £17m if the sale does not go through.

Well done on calling this so early, you are a friend of the anti Geordie fight
