View attachment 96226It’s a tragic epic tale of love, loss and revenge. The protagonist (James Newcastle United Fan) is angry. Very angry. And he DEMANDS answers. Set in Victorian Britain, where hanging and murdering people is common place, James has had the love of his life ripped from him by the nefarious Richard Masters (boo) James cuts him down in one scene, chillingly telling him ‘You Richard have a lot to answer for’ lol The story builds and builds, leading us to the chilling line ‘things are going to get very messy’lollol shouts James to Richard as they do battle on horseback in the final climatic cliff top battle scene. I can’t reveal too much but let’s just say that James has a black belt in the ancient martial art equino! A tour de force of literature. As soon as I finished reading I went straight back to the start again.

I find if I'm asking for clarity from somebody who has no obligation to give it to me that calling them an incompetent idiot does not normally get results. Nor does threatening them.

Also, I'd maybe run it through a grammar checker first.

The PL probably did them a massive favour for once not just stamping approved on the paperwork. Like you say she definitely promised the Saudis a return, 'TV contracts are booming' and all that jazz , illustrating how much Kroenke/Glazers have benefited owning a PL club. I can't see any reason if they were willing to spend why have they pulled out now? They were obviously looking to just invest what comes out and they knew with decreased income from no supporters and possible ramifications from a global financial meltdown that a) TV contracts and sponsorship may be down in future years and thus b) the value of the club will stagnate, so no chance of a quick sell for a decent profit in a few years time.

Thats a pretty apt description. Their behaviour does not smack major benefactor, it smacks make an initial investment then look to take money out the the club, with someone completely incompetent in charge (Staveley). They probably got lucky really.

I'll answer that for him and give himthe clarity he needs.

They didn't reject the takeover. They asked for information, the buyer didnt cooperate. Whenthe buyer realised they couldn't comply, they pulled out and decided it was not a worthwhile buy afterall. Nobody has taken any bribes from Qatar. You may be best directing your enquiries at the buyers, who can explain why they don't view you as a viable investment vehicle.

I enjoy your overview on this situation but how is it different than our club? We've yet to see anyone competent in charge and we are falling down the table.

I know from media reports. PIF will own 80% they're wealth is reported to be £260 billion. They have reportedly said they are going to put " considerable " funds to enhance the investment ( in the community, training facilities and playing staff. Staveley will have 10% and the Reuben brothers the last 10%, they have wealth of £18 billion. There is a " natural " belief that it isn't just a play thing, all three investors have said the Club want to compete for everything if possible band provide the funds to do so. Contrary to what many on here think, the Saudis are heavily investing in the Club. Something to look forward to for all Newcastle fans. Beer nibbles and a good movie tonight. Stay safe everybody.

I think it's like a much much more extreme version of incompetence than we have, with ultimately a lot less to spend. Say what you want about Moshiri he put his money where his mouth was, which these buyers never had any intention of doing.
