Mike Ashley is clearly open to selling the club. The premier league are a convenient scapegoat.

No idea what the PIF are up to but they're a bit suspect and with the association with the Saudi state who in their right mind would want them anywhere near their club? The Reuben brothers just want to make money. Staveley is a chancer trying to eke out a big multi million payday.

It's like someone dropped a few 200 litre drums of LSD in the water supply up there and the Newcastle fans have had a mass hallucination that this bid would make everything wonderful. And now they've crashed and come back to normality, they can't face up to it.

In these situations I tend to try to trust my gut, and seek the most obvious explanation. The buyers pulled out. Everything else is ok, but the buyers aren't interested. Maybe they come back, but if they do, it won't be to plough loads of money in to Newcastle.
