Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

Can I just say, what a stunning move from the Premier League to say they're open to the Saudis still.

Alls that they require is for the Saudis to say that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is not involved/or is involved – which they have refused to do already

It would be a lot more than that, theyd have to prove it, which of course they cant.

Either way, they're not interested in buying Newcastle, and were never interested in gifting them any money. They wanted to take money out, and as soon as Covid hit that proved to be unlikely so walked away.

why would they tho such A rich country?
Essentially you don't get rich by spending more than you get back. That's just business. Newcastle United currently are not worth the hassle to the Saudis.

Look at how long it took to sell us. And the key to our sale was more to do with developing the docks than any untapped potential of the footballing side of things.

Why would the what mate? Walk away?

Probably because they wanted to invest and draw a divident out of Newcastle, and that didn't become possible.

Saudi was in big trouble before the oil crisis, that has compounded it. The idea they'd be funneling hundreds of millions into a club as a benefactor was another fanciful story told to themseves by the same people who told them the takeover was about to happen on about 8 occasions. It wasn't, and they weren't.

This may well be one of the funniest blags I've seen. Company worth multiple billions (allegedly) photoshop Obama's presence onto a photo to dupe Michael Chopra into heading a takeover bid of the toon.

This may be one step into the surreal too far in the takover saga.

The whole Chopra thing sounded like a blag. "Had access too 9bn" just sounds like a blag. It's not a great summer to sell a football club.

Yes and we are in a region that is thriving and look set to grow further post Brexit, with much better travel links to London than the NE.

We are a much bigger club, with better facilities in a better footballing area than Newcastle. In the last 15 years or so, theyve finished above us once.
