Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

Mate, you know what those barcode fans are like, can you imagine announcing that the club is moving down to London just to keep the players happy, they would smash the city up.

They'll travel all over the world to follow the mighty Newcastle, such is their loyal support........oh except for when they play Everton away and bring about 400.

Some serious ‘tropes’ being bandied about in here. Hope you’re all gonna be happy when you know who comes steaming in with a 30,000 word essay when he reads all these.

He’s still stuck to the ceiling after his last Crystal Meth bender.

A week in rehab and he may be able to form coherent sentences again,

Until then, as Depeche Mode once said, enjoy the silence.

God, the worst argument that gets trotted out in situations like this 'you'd act differently if it was Everton'. Plenty of Evertonians have voiced concerns about Keijan, SportPesa, Moshiri, and other links. Just because you'd struggle to find a backbone if something or someone morally questionable was involved with Everton does not mean others wouldn't. And, even if some fans were hypocrites, it does not invalidate their argument.
That's not my argument. I'm not blanket attacking any Evertonian who is (rightfully) appalled that the PL has bowed down to pressure and yet again made a mockery of any "Fit & Proper" style standards. I'm not arguing that the criticism of the takeover itself is unjustified - it clearly is.

My bone of contention is with those few who say "If I was a Newcastle fan I'd be done....walking away" etc but who will also still talk fondly of Uncle Uzzy and actively dismiss any criticism as not being important enough versus the money he brings with him.

Those same people are quick to condemn any Newcastle fans for continuing to support a club they've put a lifetime's emotional investment into. Like they believe being a Newcastle supporter means less to them so that lifetime of following the club and being completely absorbed in it where it forms a part of the individuals identity should be easier to overcome and ignore in this situation.

It's proper RS style "Dis Meenz Moor" gobshitery.

This is totally different to when City and Chelsea got new owners, When Chelsea got taken over it was Utd and Arsenal as the big clubs, when city got there money it was Chelsea, Man U, Arsenal all up there.
Now Newcastle have to catch City, Utd, Chelsea, RS to get top 4. Before the they need to catch us and Leicester, Spurs, Arsenal.
Even need to catch West Ham and Villa.
When City and Chelsea got taken over most PL team where skint, they arnt any more.
It’s going to cost them at least 200 mil to get top half

I don't think that's going to be an issue some how

In a few years the title will be fought out between Man City, Chelsea and Newcastle. Three clubs that with the greatest of respect, shouldnt be anywhere near the top table of the english game based on sporting integrity, merely having the most money to hoover up the talent.

The likes of United and Liverpool will have no chance against them so what chance do Everton? Leeds? Arsenal? The clubs that should be at the top table based on consistent sporting achievement over decades.

Is there a reason why the top of the league should be based on "sporting integrity"? Is that in the rules somewhere?

No.

Just like there is no rule about the super league not happening and promotion and relegation not existing. But I'm old fashioned and liked it better. No one can accuse us of "buying" any of our 9 titles. We won them, fair and square through sporting integrity and I'm happy about that.

It will take them 5 years to get any where near, they need a new training ground, probably a new stadium. They got to some how pursued players to join them to start with
