Reading this back I was feeling bad for him but the “tactically inept cabbage head“ quote had me in stitches
Even though they get paid well being a football manager really is a thankless job unless you absolutely smash it, dunno why anyone would want to do it... well the money I guess but other than that god knows.
strike 300 you're outYeah their fans are so annoyed. 25 mil plus player sales per season.
Apparently the new owners got to the club and have realised there is more to do than they knew, it's apparently a massive mess and they need more investment backstage. So that's where all their money is going. Levelling the most basic facilities up to standard.
Steve Bruce is also staying on until they can convince someone to take on the project.
Lured by the “charms” of Karen Brady who in turn jumped ship to the commercial opportunities at West Ham.Let's not feel too sorry for Steve Bruce. He's hardly a paragon of virtue. He jumped ship pretty quickly at Palace when it suited him, he knows the game right enough.
I do hope the investigation takes place at an embassy after a mysterious disappearance of a journalist and some high dubious owners.Steve Bruce can now finally focus on finishing the 4th book in his football themed crime thrillers
Paulo Fonseca is quite a short price in the betting for the next manager. Don't know much about him to be honest but if someone like that came in now not knowing much about the PL and having the current rabble for a squad, possibly added to in January, but a rabble all the same they will surely have a very good chance of being relegated......hopefully
strike 300 you're out
Well that is how their warped minds work up there...They punch horses as well you know?Feel sorry for Bruce. Him and benitez records in the PL were the same. (Ignoring the season benitez got relegated with them).
44 points first season, 45 points second season.
Bruce spent £126m in just over 2 years. (40m of which was joelinton which wasn't even his signing as he joined the week Bruce signed and had been agreed before he took over).
Benitez spent £153m in just over 3 years.
So Bruce backed with slightly more on average but not much in it. .
(This is according to their purchased players on transfermarkt)
Yet Bruce gets loads of abuse and benitez is a saint to them.
