Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

Bruce gave an interview in which he said he signed off on Joelinton, saying he had overall say on transfers and wouldn't have agreed to go there if he didn't.
Ashley gave an interview saying it was his signing. He also stated fees and personal terms had been agreed in the February but benitez wouldn't approve it and they were trying to sort a new contract with him and this was the test so it didn't go through until after he had left.

I never denied benitez rate was better. But you misconstrued stats again to make a point. The point tallies were equal over their two full season and nowhere near as wide apart as you tried to make out.

No the point was that the Geordies didn't take to Bruce like they did Rafael and people can't understand why.

I explained its because Bruce was absolutely dreadful. In Rafas last 10 games they were 8th in the form table. For 3 straight seasons Bruce has faced relegation, for over 2 years, he's been making excuses to the fans and blaming them and Rafael for his form. It got so bad they had to bring in Jones to coach the team, when that was supposed to be Bruce's job.

Look at it like this, in the international break, Rafael has had those players who haven't travelled, training for the next match. Bruce had given Newcastle 11 days off, whilst he went abroad on holiday. That's the difference.

Rafael did so much work outside of football, uniting the fans together with his charity and community work to the point, simply having Rafael in the dugout added something ridiculous like an extra 10k fans to the ground.

Joelinton wasn't agreed whilst Rafael was at the club, he was offered to Rafael, Rafael said no and wouldn't sanction the deal. Joelinton was then offered to Bruce who signed off on the deal.

If you're being honest though, had Joelinton ended up being a great signing the narrative would have most likely been that Benitez deserved the credit for him

Rafael - 10th and 13th in Premier League
Bruce - 13th and 12th

Rafael - 42.5% win rate
Bruce - 28.9% win rate.

Rafael - - 7 mil net spend in 3 seasons.
Bruce - +94 mil net spend in 3 seasons.

Bruce signed off on Joelinton. It was his first transfer decision.

I'm not sure how any of your second comment is at all the point of what you said in your first comment which is what I replied to?
