Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

I dont see Burnley going down. Theyve been in this situation so many times before and know how to grind our results.

Leeds i think will have too much over the season.

Norwich and Watford i think will be in the mix and so far theyre 6pts behind Watford and only 2 ahead of Norwich.

As you alluded to, why they have come in without tapping up managers through agents is beyond me. Surely the common sense approach would have been to speak with agents to see who was available and get straight into hiring someone.

If they continue losing games then they could be down by January. At that point they will need to hit their FFP limit just to roll the dice.

If I were them, I would move heaven and earth to get Sean Dyche.

Good shout that, they bring in the experience needed to avoid the trap door while pushing Burnley towards the abyss.

They really just need to stay in the league then theyre setup nicely for a rebuild in the summer.

The thing with Newcastle is they play:

Brighton
Brentford
Arsenal
Norwich
Burnley
Leicester
Liverpool
City
United
Everton

That takes them to 20 games and the January window.

It looks to me like the next 5 games are critical for them. Their relegation could be all but sealed by 4th December.

This is one strange list.
You wouldn’t bet on any of these to be an instant success would you.

The bookmakers are laughing to the bank if anyone puts bets on most of them.

Shearer not happy..
Just for a change.

I think it was mentioned on MOTD that five of yesterday's squad or XI (actually might have been the latter) were playing with Newcastle in the Championship.

Their squad is terrible and currently rudderless. They'll be going all out for a manager to steady the ship before the January window and will have to invest.

Just look at their fixtures and it's not hard to imagine that they could be quite far adrift come the transfer window if they don't do something soon.

In November it;s Brighton, Brentford, Arsenal and Norwich; December has Burnley, Leicester, Liverpool, City, United and then us. Hopefully, they lose them all!

Eddie Howe has a track record of getting out of the Championship so I guess he would be a good idea ;)
And has managed Callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser before.
Could be right.

Most on that list like to try and play a bit of football. I think they need an ale house manager immediately. As said previously by some, Dyche would be perfect for them, but I guess their fans still think they are signing Mbappe in January.

It's a list that smacks of 'they don't have a plan' at the moment. Need to forget the galactico nonsense and just go with someone who can keep them in the league this season.
Their current manager Graeme Jones isn’t on that list either and you get paid if he was to last 10 games.
So that would suggest they expect to announce a manager soon.
Huge ask for whoever goes there.
