Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

Howe is there to keep them up. They will appoint a much better manager in a few years. And it still won't be Nuno the fraud.
How is he a fraud? He did an excellent job at Wolves but was miles out of his depths at Spurs. He's not been terrible or anything at most of his other jobs because unlike Howe he's actually had the guts to go different places. He's managed a second place finish with Porto and a fourth place finish with Valencia. I'm not pretending that he great or anything but he's not even close to being as crap as Howe is.

He done a fantastic job at Bournemouth to get them there.
He just couldn’t spend money well.

That’s what makes this an odd one.
The signings of Ibe and Solanke always colour us Evertonians opinions of his ability in the market. The truth is that he bought a lot of young players, developed them and Bournemouth made a handsome profit on them.

Nathan Ake - Bought £20M Sold £41M
Aaron Ramsdale - Bought £1M Sold £18M
Callum Wilson - Bought £3M Sold £20M
Arnaut Danjuma - Bought £13.7M Sold £22M

There are plenty of other signings still at the club and performing fairly well such as LLoyd Kelly who they'll get way more than the £13M they spent on him.

Solanke was their joint top scorer in the Championship last year and has scored 11 in 16 league games this season. Still only 24 so plenty of time for him to develop into the player he was tipped to be as a youngster. Another one they'll likely make a profit on as he gets older.

Ibe left Derby last year and currently has no club. He has spoken about his mental health issues.

It was a season too far for them when they got relegated but that's the risk when the clubs model is buy young and develop. It's very difficult to sustain when you're buying in inexperienced and unproven players at elite level. Look how many managers are very reluctant to play young players. The fact he did it with relative success for such a prolonged period puts paid to the myth that he was poor in the market.

May well do enough short term to keep them safe in midtable

Watford and Norwich are goners its who takes spot no3.

Saint Maximum, Wilson, Almeron and Richie are decent enough to get a few wins playing uber attacking togger.

A few defeats and the Black and White Geordies may start getting on his back though compared to what he was used to at little old Bournemouth.

As a couple of lids here know, I’m more than aware of his management through a friend who played for him.
He’s not the person you see on the telly, he can be ruthless, especially with regards to fitness ( and rightly so if you are a professional footballer btw ).
