Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

May well do enough short term to keep them safe in midtable

Watford and Norwich are goners its who takes spot no3.

Saint Maximum, Wilson, Almeron and Richie are decent enough to get a few wins playing uber attacking togger.

A few defeats and the Black and White Geordies may start getting on his back though compared to what he was used to at little old Bournemouth.

I might be being a bit cocky, but I think Watford might be ok. Touch and go.

Not the worst appointment because he knows what is required in the league, he'll know the opposition better and he has two of his previous signings in Fraser and Wilson.

His biggest challenge is from now until January just how big or little the points gap comes before January.

You would target getting maximum points at home against Brentford, Norwich and Burnley but I think they would struggle to get much more (cue Everton).

Giving him a blank cheque to the man who signed Solanke and Ibe for £36m would give me a heart attack. I just hope he likes Iwobi, Keane, Holgate and Davies!

All the best to them I just hope we beat them twice this season, they sign all our dross and ultimately come to us for Benitez and £10m.

If you are in a relegation battle and I remember them, and you can’t beat Brentford, Norwich and Burnley at home, you deserve to go down.

They have got some winnable games there, those home games aren’t so bad, if they beat Norwich Burnley Brentford and us (we are a joke), they’ll be on minimum 16 by January. I think they’ll stay up. Hope I am wrong, a lot will depend on if they get that new manager bounce.

I wonder if any of the candidates have asked who's actually in charge there?

Surely it's not Staveley, or the fella who has been given a senior position just because the share a marital bed? Who does the manager there report to?

It's like Everton turned up to 11.

I think they'll struggle. An expectant (and some would say entitled) fan base at SJP is a world away from the genteel tea sipping attendees at Bournemouth.
