Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

Going to be some mad wages at that club in the coming seasons.

Remember when the Adebayor was the highest paid player in Europe on £240k a week in 2008 when he signed for City.

Awaits to read about some Brazilian superstar they sign and he thinks he's signing for Sunderland.lol

Short term planning to save them is smart. Big money and wages will be spent but will all be worth it if they avoid the drop.
I agree completely. They have both the economic means and the FFP leeway to sign experienced, ready to go players in the short term without it affecting their future ambitions at all. Everything hinges on survival for them and to do that they need to bring in a completely new back four.

I don't know why anyone is comparing them to us. We were in a position of relative strength and in a summer transfer window when we pissed our transfer war chest up the wall.

Just wanted to confirm that England legend Kieran Trippier has not gone to Newcastle for the money.
Just to be crystal clear Blues, he has definitely, certainly, indubitably NOT gone for the money.
I know for sure because he's said so himself in the media in his article entitled 'I'm not in Toon for the money'.
You're welcome.
