Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

Decent player is Trippier. Good business for Atletico as I think they signed him on a free, but once fullbacks get into their clearly 30s they start to fade. We'll, the ones we've grimly clung onto have. Experienced pro though.

Edit: I think I may be wrong, Atlantic might be taking a hit here.

Trippier is a free agent in summer and they are willing to buy him for £31 million.

Typical of a petro dollar club to skew the transfer market if this comes off, it's what PSG and City have been doing for years.

Now you won't be able to buy players cheap with months left on a contract anymore, this potential deal has changed that.

Have they skewed the transfer market if they buy him for 12m you massive Kopite ferret

Decent signing for them. Short term and mega wages no doubt, but they need immediate improvement.

Edit: just seen the £175k wages and rumours of double the reported transfer fee actually being paid. Massively over the odds obviously but I still think he'll do ok.

Baffling singing Tripper.

They need to get 2 attacking players in Asap and get that mediocre midfield upgraded as well.

Back 4 and with the GK who's solid they are okay.

They are crap in defence.
Trippier has played for Howe before so will be ready to go immediately.
It’s not that bad a signing.

Its a very good signing.

£15mil odd with another £10mil in clauses.

They needed a left back and a centre back as well as a defensive midfielder in...but with the injuries to the two attacking players theyre stuffed.

Unlimited funds means they should go for experience...27+ years old players of high quality with premier league experiece.

Get them in quick...spend £150/200mil now to stop relegation.

Then start building on that base summer onwards.

I can’t stand them or their fans, and nothing would see me happier than for them to get relagated.. again..

But, they aren’t a million miles away from having a side that could stay up.

I hope they come in for Keane/Mina and Digne...give us decent amounts while also spending on more players.

Then get relegated.

It’s the Wayne bridge signing for Man City. Gives credibility to other other players coming in
