Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

Tecnically its not, no rules against it.

We would be made up if it was us....would be calling it clever by owners etc - Some of the Usmanov deals where just that..."clever".

But again, all this is irrelivant...because it ONLY happening becaus of those desiged rules to keep that top 6 at the top.

Petty jealousy needs t put aside now....14 clubs are playing a different game.

And league, btw our club is not totally innocent on that score, we signed up for the multi club scheme, whereby you can move different players around if you own thd clubs. One of the benefits of potentially being owned by 777...

Mike we are all in the same boat none of us has a chance of competing.

Well it seems teams that can exploit loopholes and sell rubbish players to themselves for stupid money will have a better chance than those that can’t, shockingly 🤷

But I do sort of agree. A team like us will never be able to compete with the likes of Newcastle who can bend the rules to suit them via dodgy transfers between linked clubs.

You’re trying to make the point that Newcastle are “hamstrung by the same rules as us”. Us = a team that consistently has to sell its best players and get weaker to stay on the right side of the rules, as opposed to them who can just hand pick any absolute bum from the fringes of the squad who no actual football club in their right mind would want, and boot them to Saudi Arabia for eye watering fees. They are quite clearly and evidently not playing by the same rules as us.

The thing with Newcastle, is that all they had to do, was not do what we did when we initially had money and not blow it all on bang average players, on over inflated wages and contracts, to apparently stay within the rules.

They seem to have done their level best to do that and even then, they still find themselves in a position, where they now have to sell, to stay within the rules.

I`m no fan of them or their fans, but looking from the outside in, it does appear that FFP is geared to keeping the majority of teams in the Premier League forever in the shadow of a select few clubs.

Newcastle don’t seem to have an issue getting around the rules though do they. Which is the point I’ve been trying to make this whole time. They’re playing a different game to everyone else, why should they get sympathy from the likes of us that are truly suffering at the hands of the rules?

In the last year of his contract ? Not sure about that mate. The rules and regs are incredibly unfair and need changing. To save an argument for the other 13 teams sake, it's us twice, now Forest..

Fulham paid £22m for Iwobi in the last year of his contract. They’d easily get the same fee for Neves, he’s actually good at football.

Again. Who is buying Miguel Almiron for anything above £5m?

I don`t think anyone has got sympathy for them, as they`re an odious club, with probably the worst fans in the league, after the RS.

People are merely pointing out, that despite their blood money wealth, they seem to have been caught in the same trap as the most of the league.

I don’t believe they have. I think they’ve got a convenient way around it. If they were forced to sell good players to comply with the rules like everyone else then I’d maybe see your point.
