Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

Hes no Usmanov anyway.

Mohammed bin Salman's net worth is estimated at US$3.0 billion.

The SWF that would own them is one of the richest in the world - over $300 billion.

Not saying its definitely going to happen but if it does and Leeds get taken over by the Qatari Royal family then the league is in very real danger of becoming a boring play ground for Middle Eastern Royals adding Man City to that.

Why are people so scared about other clubs getting big investment. Literally no team has ever been improved beyond recognition by it overnight and only a few teams have actually used it to become elite clubs and that was back when there weren’t rules to prevent that anyway.

Relies on a lot more than just money.

Liverpools owners havent invested a single penny into their club.

Everton have spent more than anybody else over the last 4 years.

Nobody will ever do a City again.

"A report emerged in The Wall Street Journal on Saturday morning that PIF and Staveley were in talks to buy Newcastle and Telegraph Sport has established that it is hoped a deal might be announced soon. However, other sources, concerned that it has become public, have also urged caution and suggested that it was still possible that the takeover might not proceed. It has also been suggested that the consortium may still be falling short of the asking price."

Loves her fake shieks that Staveley.

Loves her fake shieks that Staveley.

Anytime these stories become public you have to raise an eyebrow.

Can't think of many, in the Prem anyway, that have been widely reported before it happens. Even the best journos don't have sources so well placed as to publicise a takeover.

Moshiri happened pretty quickly because we were all expecting those Texans.
