News of Ex Players

If the players are the problem why were they not a problem under Ancelotti? Why was Silva in his first season able to achieve similar results to CA? Benitez inherited a team of seasoned professionals and internationals, picked fights with his best players and gutted the non playing staff to get complete control. It was a coup on our club and it crippled us.

It's a complete myth and revisionist nonsense that this form or season was coming prior to his arrival

They one million percent were a problem under Ancelotti. We were about 2nd going into the new year and we finished 10th below Leeds United. Last season was also an absolute freak of nature that’ll never happen again so I’d say even our final position of 10th was a lie.

These players are absolutely diabolical to a man.

He downed tools before Benitez, in fairness. He's chatting wham.

I thought this last season, while Ancelotti was still here and before Benitez was even conceived of. I hate Benitez, but James didn’t want to be here, it was quite clear he absolutely hated every second of his Premier League experience.

Richie came out and said it as well in the last few days that James was training well and working really hard but benitez came in and just decided he couldn't count on him and it affected all the players as they couslnt understand why. He then did the same with digne.

Can't be believing a player.James has echoed similar since. But Keyboard warrior's are always right, well between what's in their head and the keyboard.

And if James was half arsed with his assist and goals in his season, hate to define our second half against Southampton...

A fit and motivated James Rodriguez walks into our team with ease, and would win us games. The problem with him was always keeping him fit and motivated. He was also on ridiculous wages.

He left when he new Carlos was leaving, and he was never going to work with Chorizo chops. Another victim of the fat knacker!

He's said he wants to come back... I'm sure he does with what we paid him! I'm sure he did enjoy playing for us to be fair, when he was fit.

If he was a free agent, I'd offer a pay as you play deal, with maybe goal/assist bonuses. A financial risk free route, where we only pay him the big bucks if he produces the big results.

Posted this in the classic matches thread but thought I'd put it in here as well. Howard Kendall's first match is on The Big Match tomorrow on ITV4 at 11.35. Playing against Birmingham.
