Welp, there's that Doucoure-shaped hole in our midfield he can fill now that he presumably isn't filling smaller ones

Lost out on a potential sale that could have kept us the right side of fair play finances, if, we wanted to argue that as a 'defence'lost out on a full season we could’ve been playing him in what was an evil season.
!!!!!!!!!!!Also I jest and also I should probably be sorry
yes, possibly.of course he was, you think an employer can just decide not to pay someone while under police investigation?!
So basically he is innocent, because they didn't have a case they could prove, that means you are innocent.
No record, no having to sign registers or anything, it's like it never happened.
If you define not guilty as innocent, then they are not ...
Yep, as would happen with teachers etc.yes, possibly.
this was discussed here at the time but you can be sacked If the allegation has a direct effect on the employee's work – for example a player under investigation for child sex offences would find it difficult to work at the club due to safety concerns as he will come into direct contact with young people, thereby making his continued employment impossible. an employer may consider taking disciplinary action up to, and including, dismissal in that case.
I think there is case law where the employer was sued by an employee who sacked due to being arrested and under investigation and subsequently was either found not guilty or the charges were dropped.Yep, as would happen with teachers etc.
The trouble starts if the accused is not found guilty. The compensation demands would be huge. Looong time ago Chelsea kept on paying Mutu's wages until he was found guilty. After that they sued Mutu. I'm guessing this has been Everton's way forward too but as usual, Everton that.
From FFP-point of view this should ease our pain though. He would've been sold for 30 mill or so.
Not necessarily - see my post aboveIf that was the case and say, he was found innocent or the charges are dropped you would be sued to high heaven if you sacked him or suspended him with no pay.
It could lead to scenarios where a primary school teacher gets sacked for allegations which had no basis in fact (sayy for example by a jilted lover). Then you could sue for wrongful dismissal and a whole host of damages.
Even worse said teacher could get a mate to file charges so you could pocket out of the ensuing fracas.
I thought he was paid until his contract ran out- sometime last year. No new contract, no pay.
Common knowledge he was getting paid for the year untill hisl contract finishedReally? Where did you get that from?
Hahahah I wasn't advocating bringing him back.Mate unless we are playing pool or table tennis he aint't match fit.
That is right. But I guess nobody outside the club knows if they paid him once he was suspended and no longer active.I thought he was paid until his contract ran out- sometime last year. No new contract, no pay.
