Of course you're right that too many people get away with these crimes - we know there are hundreds of cases in towns throughout the country where for some reason police and the CPS turned a blind eye to terrible crimes against thousands of underage girls.Not true at all unfortunately mate

I'm the case you cite, though, without getting too technical, I think he admitted to a lot of dodgy stuff but didn't admit to the one act that would have meant he couldn't have been acquitted. And he was charged.
None of this tells us whether our ex-player did it, but I doubt very much he made that admission and wasn't charged.
As others have said, it would be a very dangerous world if any and all accusations were held as anything more than that. More innocent people than guilty tend to suffer in those circumstances. None of us know enough to make a judgment on this specific case.

While not wanting people to get the wrong impression, I think the whole age of consent is problematic in the UK. If it's 18 like in America then fine that makes sense, because the female is at least an adult at 18. The idea that a 50 year old sleeping with a 16 year old is, somehow better than a 19 year old sleeping with a 15 year old is ludicrous. Also you have the next issue, females are more mature than men at the same age let's say 16. The whole concept of consent is deeply problamatic, millions of women have had drunken sex with a man, under modern laws it would be considered rape. Most pornstars are alcoholics or drug addicts, many scenes are filmed while under the influence. Sigurdssons name has been dragged through the mud, it was obvious no charges would be brought against him, other players like Ferdinand and Evans were backed by United, I don't know why we didn't back up Sigs.
