News of Ex Players

They're separate. Prize money for league final placing is distinct to facilities fees.
You initially said there was a £10m difference in prize money and a £10m difference in facility fees. I’ve provided you with evidence to show you are wrong but you don’t seem to want to read it. I gave you a break down of the total prize money awarded in 21/22 and it shows we were £10m behind the team that finished in 10th. Prize money for final placing and facility fees are separate. But the fact is, all included, we were £10m behind 10th, not £20m as you claimed. Again, our facility fees for that season were the 8th highest in the league.

I don't get the splitting of hairs here. He's not "innocent" as he was never tried. Not being tried doesn't mean you are innocent. Just like being found "not guilty" means you are innocent. Guessing you lot never watched the OJ trial?

If you are talking about in the eyes of the law, OJ is innocent as there is a double jeopardy in the states where you can't be charged twice. This whole thing with the icelandic slug is more along the lines of "case is still open if we can find anything more". Which, again, is about as far away from "innocent" as you can get.
Perhaps you can show some specific proof / evidence of what he is guilty of?

Hopefully now the dust had settled and she's had chance to step back from it all his Mrs will have chance to consider my marriage proposal with a pre-nup that I'll never nonce the babysitter that I sent her on Instagram.

I know we’re biased and there will be exceptions but aren’t most of your Everton hero’s just fantastic blokes?I’ve fortunately met most of mine,Alex Young,Big Bob,Colin Harvey,Howie,Dave Watson,Dave Hickson,Labone,Westy,Kingy,Big Mick himself and you come away thinking they epitomise our club💙
With the exception of Bob, it's hard to find fault with any of the others (who all gave heart & Soul for the club), there probably was one or two more
that maybe could have crept in, funny thing about the lads you've just mentioned, it was possible for all of them to have played in the same team, I think?

That wont be the same this season.

The prize money incremental payment for each league place is steady, obviously. But facilities fees doesn't work like that. If the tv compainies want you on then you're on. But we haven't been on much this season.

Dont forget, we're talking not just about season 2021/22 here but 2022/23 as well.

Bundle those two sets of figures together and see what you get.

Our charge is based on the period before the 2022/23 season. So no we aren’t talking about this season. This season doesn’t come into it.

Which person, the Icelandic one? Because, of so, he is the one that went to the police. Ergo he technically is guilty.

It's q massive weird area honestly. The whole situation shouldn't have been a thing. If the woman was in a bar but underage then that's the bar fault. That's the whole point of them checking IDs, to make sure everyone is supposed to be there.

Well, that pizza took some eating! This thing still going on? If we are saying that no one is innocent (tm Ronnie Biggs/Sex Pistols) once they are subject to an allegation that never makes it to court, then we are in a very scary place indeed. I don't know what he has admitted to, and that includes the 'admission' to sleeping with an underage girl. Even if this bit were true, it needs treating with caution. If you sleep with an underage girl that you reasonably believe to be of age (16+), the police/courts would consider that to be credible defence - unless they could disprove it or unless the girl was under 13 (when the defense of 'i thought she was old enough guv' won't wash - probably because, at that age, it should be obvious by the girls looks and demeanour that she is underage). So he may have done exactly that........or he may not have. I suspect that none of us really know. The fact that the police and CPS didn't take he case forward implies that the girl was 13 or over. We may not like a 30+ bloke sleeping with someone he reasonably believes to be 16 years old (if he did do this), but he's allowed to do it.

The whole thing is that either he met someone out or hired a prostitute, they were underage but he didn't know it. They started blackmailing him, he went to the police.

You said yourself if the girl was 16+, or 13 under, what about someone who was 15 like she was meant to be

No one really knows outside of those who investigated and they concluded with no charges and that's all anyone really knows on the outside looking in. You're making assumptions based on nothing.

It'll impact - with other things - on our ability to get back into line as far as FFP is concerned.

In any case, the merit fees from 2021/22 were 10th place £29M (Brighton) and us at 16th on £13M. That's £16M the difference. You confused the issue for some reason by using 11th position but I originally stated going from 10th to 16th.

Go back in the thread to see how you confused this.

Guilty of going to the police? It's complete speculation what happened with this whole affair - but we do know that he will not be charged with any crime - and as such he isn't just technically innocent - he is innocent unless proven otherwise in a court of law.
