News of Ex Players

We made £10m less total than the team that finished in 10th (Wolves). Prize money includes the facility fees. Our facility fees last season were the 8th highest, presumably due to the threat of relegation meaning we were on more towards the end of the season.

11. Wolves

Actual league position: 10th
Equal share: £79m
Facility fees: £15m
Merit payment: £29.2m
Commercial revenue: £5.6m
Total: £128.8m

15. Everton

Actual league position: 16th
Equal share: £79m
Facility fees: £20.7m
Merit payment: £13.3m
Commercial revenue: £5.6m
Total: £118.6m

It doesn't.

"In addition to this guaranteed money for league position, teams are given a minimum of £10 million more in facilities fees. These are given to clubs for appearing on a domestic live broadcast and for being shown in 10 or fewer of these games teams receive £10m."

Quite pathetic from GMP to be honest, 21 months of investigation only for it to lead to absolutely nothing. Meanwhile the player has lost his career and reputation, also his employer (the club) lost many millions of pounds by still having to pay him in full whilst he couldn't be used. Stuff like this seriously damages public faith in the police.

The player I think will likely get himself a contract in the East now, a payday to set himself up for retirement. It's been too long out for him to come back at any sort of decent level. Plus the stigma would like (also wrongly) follow him everywhere if he pops up anywhere in Europe.

A sorry, sorry episode. Why does this rubbish always happen to us FFS.

No, that is a guaranteed £10m if you appear in 10 or fewer games. Which I don’t believe any team did last year. It literally says it in the quote you posted.

It’s not at all.

The wording - “ Didn’t reach the CPS threshold “ is the completely standard response, that the CPS use, when there isn’t enough evidence, for whatever reason, to bring a REALISTIC chance of a SUCCESSFUL prosecution.

There is no hidden meaning, no ambiguity with this, it’s completely normal and this phrase will be used by the CPS to discontinue multiple cases, every day of the week, up and down the land.

Some of the stuff on here today is just nuts, it really is like the Salem Witch Trials.
Salem witch trials you say. Badly off topic but I'll take the punishment.

So if someone doesn't go down for the crime then the crime never happened?

Innocent until proven guilty in the eyes of the law, it doesn't retroactively reverse what he's done and admitted to I will add.

Facts as we know them are the girl was underage and he confessed sleeping with her. The law is concerned over whether he knew or not but the facts remain that he's not innocent.
Where is this fact mate?

He is completely 100% innocent, innocent in every definition of the word as it is used in law.
Fact.

They're separate. Prize money for league final placing is distinct to facilities fees.

I don't get the splitting of hairs here. He's not "innocent" as he was never tried. Not being tried doesn't mean you are innocent. Just like being found "not guilty" means you are innocent. Guessing you lot never watched the OJ trial?

If you are talking about in the eyes of the law, OJ is innocent as there is a double jeopardy in the states where you can't be charged twice. This whole thing with the icelandic slug is more along the lines of "case is still open if we can find anything more". Which, again, is about as far away from "innocent" as you can get.
