News of Ex Players

I'm making assumptions based on things I've read but that's fair that it might not be accurate
Well given the fact that we have no guaranteed reliable sources such as court documents or police reports don't you think it's a bit silly to jump to conclusions like declaring him guilty for turning himself into a police station (which also has never been confirmed)?

Guilty of going to the police? It's complete speculation what happened with this whole affair - but we do know that he will not be charged with any crime - and as such he isn't just technically innocent - he is innocent unless proven otherwise in a court of law.
My favourite bit was when he used OJ Simpson as an example, a classic case of the ineptness of the US Police and the massive race divide in that country.

It's not a valid reason to say everyone not found guilty is guilty.

It'll impact - with other things - on our ability to get back into line as far as FFP is concerned.

In any case, the merit fees from 2021/22 were 10th place £29M (Brighton) and us at 16th on £13M. That's £16M the difference. You confused the issue for some reason by using 11th position but I originally stated going from 10th to 16th.

Go back in the thread to see how you confused this.
No, you are moving the goal posts because you know you are wrong. You initially mentioned the team that finished 10th. That was Wolves. Brighton finished 9th. Wolves finished 11th in terms of prize money. But 10th in the league.

You are now talking about merit payments. When you started you were talking about facility fees. Merit payments are for where you finish in the league. Facility payments are for TV. As I have repeatedly said, we had the 8th highest facility fee in 21/22.

The whole thing is that either he met someone out or hired a prostitute, they were underage but he didn't know it. They started blackmailing him, he went to the police.

You said yourself if the girl was 16+, or 13 under, what about someone who was 15 like she was meant to be
I didn't know that, but if she was 15 and he said that he thought that she was 16 or over, then he wouldn't be convicted unless there was enough evidence to prove that he knew better (eg; he already knew her in a personal capacity, witnesses remember her telling him her age, etc). It looks like there wasn't enough evidence to prove this. And he can't have admitted that he knew that she was underage or the CPS would have taken it to court. I feel a bit sorry for him (obviously on the proviso that he didn't knowingly have sex with an underage girl).

He was too slow for the PL two seasons ago and hasn't kicked a ball or presumably done much professional training since then. He might get a kickabout in the desert but he has no chance of returning to PL level.
Gotta look at were we are now. When siggs was here we were top half and knocking on door of getting in Europe.
I'm not saying as a key player starting and playing 90 minutes every game.
However as an option with some creativity to come on and change games it could work.

Won't happen anyway he likely won't play again, or will play in Iceland.
Who knows were his heads at, and what level he's at now after so long out the game

That's what we were talking about for the purposes of this discussion: the prize money.

We're getting away from the substantive point though: with the same group of players we had the seaosn before we could have been expected to get better rsults, better finishing position, better prize money and more facilities fees.

Thats what the Commission has to understand.

Your ability to not admit you were wrong is incredible. I don't know why you've randomly bolded some bits of what I posted. You haven't addressed that our facility fees were way better than our finishing position. I give up.

It's not as great as your inability to see the wood for the trees.

The issue here is a lost sell on fee for the player and his absence from the team likely caused league placement and lost prize money and lost tv revenue - that adds to the lost revenue from sponsorship.

They are all mitigating factors.

I've posted about mitigating factors. But I've used figures backed up by facts and evidence and you have just blundered in, having misread an article about facility fees, changed tack when shown you were wrong, and still refuse to admit it.

Gordon subbed off 53 mins. Didn’t throw a tantrum this time as I think he realised he had been terrible. Even their fans must be starting to think that we rinsed them for £40m
