Bit of a left field one this, but why not bring Unsworth into the fold and him work alongside Koeman with the first team, as well as him looking after the U23's ?.

It's plain as day that somethings wrong between him and the players, Unsworth wouid appear to be universally like and respected at the club.

Maybe he could bring some stability into what's looking like a fractured relationship bewteen Fat Head and some of the players ?.

* I know it'd never happen in the real world.

Hate to say it, but considering the clowns we've had, there's a proven trophy winner managing at Newcastle.
As good as he may or may not be I think that would be a disastrous appointment. For a kick off a large portion of the fan base would be against it. The new manager has to turn things around and if they don't hit the ground running then Benitez more than any other manager would have the fans on his back at the first opportunity. What then, a split fan base like Arsenal, we become a club that sacks everyone at the first sign of trouble?
Benitez has gone up in my estimations as a manager but it's one appointment that simply should never happen.

Them.

Results can lie, performances don't.

It's crap and equally as bad as with Martinez, we waited 20 months too long with him. Why repeat the trick?

At least under Moyes we battled back with spirit in time of lesser quality.
Totally agree, Moyes had his faults but he could sort out a decent defence, and usually that's a good start when things aren't going well.

If it happened Unsworth and Koeman would discuss thing then Koeman would do it his way. It would never work in a million years. Would Royle still be interested in helping Unsworth? I'd like that better, Surprisingly Royles only 68 I thought he was much older.

I agree with all of this apart from the Koeman bit. Just bin the negative tit out of our club now and give Unsworth the chance to instill some pride and passion, even if for the short term. Koeman doesn't appear remotely bothered, he's sapping the life out of a good squad of players.
