Sacked because our defense was rubbish. A defense that is still rubbish after 3 different managers one who specializes in setting teams up defensively.

Yeah our defense was shocking, also though, most games we sucked at the rest of the game too...
We were good at working the ball from the left to the right in the middle of the park though tbf, he at least had a specialism unlike Koeman who largely seemed to just choose some players and hope for the best.

Mostly we were lucky we had Lukaku who he bought in, (for which he deserved a better time with us alone), but man did he had to go, we had won 5 in 24 under him when he left with a team created by deconstructing a regular European place finishing team. We were awful, we actually now seem to be improved which is a really sad state of affairs.

If Martinez spent the money Koeman and Sam did we'd have one hell of a team.

We'd probably still have Stones Barkley and Lukaku too because we would've actually tried to match their ambition.

Everyone will attack RM supporters but he bought well on a low budget - every manager makes an Alcaraz, Mangala, pistone type mistake - and he wouldn’t know that the players could have tired or eventually not been able to learn the style he was trying out here

He would have definitely benefited from a good fitness coach , Better first team coach or assistant and some sort of strategy which we never have

Martinez - Koeman - Allardyce are all the same type of manager ?! Same direction for the club ?!

In my opinion he made more hits than misses, and his misses were peanuts comparatively to say 28m on Bolasie etc.

Lukaku, Barry, Del, Mori, Mccarthy, Lennon, Robles were all good signings, even Niasse (now not then)

Alcaraz, McGeady, Leandro, Tarashaj etc were poor but they cost next to nothing?

All managers have there fair share of stinkers sure, but Bobby brought a calibre of player to Everton that wouldn't even look at us now. Let alone building Stones and Barkley into the players they became.

We need to be careful of revisionism as it just facilitates a further acceptance of mediocrity.

Moyes was never going to achieve anything of note with us by the time he left.

The sackings of Martinez and Koeman were both entirely justified.

Allardyce should go at the end of the season so we can start again.

I would not have any of them back.

We do have to try to return to a period of stability and sustainable progress and keep a manager for a 5 year cycle but equally when things are below expectations the manager has to be held to account and sacked if necessary.

This just shows what a sour bunch of complainers we have generally become, dont you think?

Nobody liked Bobby because he was optimistic, cheerful and positive.
He was also trying to do something creative and different, and we now have to be honest and say we really just like boring, dull, attritional, defensive, aggressive football where crunchy tackles are valued ahead of beautiful passing (I know we never had reached the beautiful passing game, but we were trying). Oh wait, we are going that way with Allardyce and we don't like that either!

Having a bit of optimism, ambition and dreams are NOT Valued at everton, and we are clearly as confused as the directors and board of the club.

The fans, board and management do not agree on what would kind of success would make us happy

Martinez managed Alcaraz at Wigan so he knew how bad he was and still signed him for us

when sam officially took charge we were 13th after that 4-0 west ham win,just 6 points from 8th watford and 10 points behind 6th placed Burnley,and 5 above 3rd bottom west ham


after the his 1st official game the 2-0 huddersfield game,we went 10th,7 points behind 6th placed,and 8 points above 3rd bottom,,,,getting 7th or not which i dont mind if it gets us europa as i want europa should still mean he goes as no one really wants him

People in the press etc making out hes saved us etc, have gone so far overboard they cant be saved,he could not have wished for a better set of games to start of with really bar the odd 1,but even in wins [pretty much all] we have been lucky

i dont really know who i want as boss myself,as i didnt want silva or sam before sam came,Just hope we are not all here thinking a certain person will defo come to then he does not in may etc,bit like when people were hoping Real madrid would win a final few years back in the hope the oppo boss would be free as there was talk the oppo boss was leaving and we wanted him or he wanted us,dont even think that boss left in the end,cant remeber
