I think everyone knows that footballers can't go on forever and as much as I love them this applies to Jags and Bainsy - I'm sure MA knows this as much as they do.

It's all going to end up in tears with Silva. People are trying to justfy it, only because its looking likely.

In reality he is from the same school of science martinez is from, a fraud who places no emphasis on the defense and gets by with a fancy name.

if his name was dave thomas and his had been relegated with stoke and fired from west brom, their would be no doubts about how it would be a bad appointment.

The club should be aiming for the stars, not mid table. Throw what ever money is needed to get a top manager that has the pull to get better quality players.

yeah for sure! German football is pretty technical at the best of times, so that is definately an important factor. Although not to say German clubs are not keen on hiring and firing - cos they are! Not much patience in that league either.

But the difference is, that there isnt anywhere near the coaches merry-go-round in Germany as in England, where you see the same old names getting chance after chance after chance. It happens a bit - which is the reason Bruno Labbadia somehow still gets jobs, but it doesn't happen that much. Teams will tend to take more risks with younger coaches and not be afraid of promoting from within - cos most clubs have quite strong coaching set-ups at the 2nd team and U19 level.

The fact that Premier League teams CONSTANTLY ignore the Bundesliga absolutely baffles me. It's a more technical version of the PL ffs. Would love to see more boss Germans at Everton. Being serious, I can't even remember 1 we've had.
