AVB has failed everywhere he’s been. He isn’t even currently in football.

You sure about that? He left Spurs with there highest percentage of league wins in the Premier League era, won the Europa League at Porto the same season he won them the league and cup for a nice little treble, won the league in Russian, won the cup in Russia, not my idea of failure, rather have a CV like that then one of giving Hull a fighting chance with 6 wins.

Favre would have been boss, when we sacked Martinez he was waiting for our call to sign... we took too long (shock horror).

Hes now signed for Dortmund, @Borussin happy mate? Good manager there.

yeah I am intrigued to see how he does! He is clearly a great coach, very unique really, very innovative. He did some great work in the past in the Bundesliga, he knows the league incredibly well. My only worry with Favre is how he handless pressure. And the pressure he will be under at Dortmund will be huge.

But I feel a lot better about him coming in now, after the mess and unrest of the last couple seasons. And his style of football should please Dortmund fans more too. It will surely be interesting!

I think there is a good match there tbh mate, with the players you have and what Favre brings, think you'll be knocking on a few doors.

The pressure thing is one to watch out for, but hopefully he is passed he previous issues with it!

What's the word over there on Hasenhuttl mate. Any rumours linking him with anyone.

I'd love him to get his mitts n our kids, so to speak.

There's an interview with him in Bild today, where he says he's taking a break for now to recharge the batteries! So I guess he's not rushing back.

I did read too that he can't coach for a bit, due to RB leipzig paying him up to a certain date as it was his choice to leave, not their choice, so he can't take a new job even if he wanted on.

yes hopefully he learnt a lot from his past in the league and he will be prepared this time! He will know Dortmund well enough to know what it is like, and that it isn't the easiest place for coaches.

But I am confident we have a good group of players for him to work with. Need to trim the squad a bit and make a 2 or 3 good signings, but he should have a strong base to start working with pre-season.

but he's won championships in Portugal and Russia, not top leagues sure, but still, not failure. Also has a better points per game record than Pochettino as Spurs, just saying :D

But yeah, he has a really bad rep for various reasons. Still a young coach, he should get back in the saddle and prove people wrong - I am not suggesting he does it with your boys though!
Ok perhaps bad rep is more accurate than failure

Marcel Brands is taking a lead role in Everton’s search for a new manager.
The Blues’ new director of football will have a big say in who replaces Sam Allardyce in the Goodison
Brands does not officially start at Everton until next week but is understood to already be hands on in the club’s hunt for a new boss.
Allardyce was sacked six days ago and Everton are keen to finalise his successor this week.

Marco Silva remains the firm favourite to be the Blues’ new boss but it is believed the club are still considering other candidates with Brands leading the process.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is someone who has been discussed by the power-brokers at Everton.
Brands, 56, comes to Everton as the replacement for Steve Walsh and is set to hold greater influence.
The Blues are hoping to announce a new manager by the end of this week, with Silva still in pole position, although Brands has been given the licence to run the rule over other managers.
