Nagelsmann seems to have something. Although, some of his ideas are absolutely bat guano crazy! Seeing as Teuchel seems Bayern bound. Failing those two, Unsworth for now.

Sick of seeing dour Davey's name mentioned every time things go wrong. He was a failure! If, and it is highly unlikely, we ever bring back Moyes we deserve to be Championship bound. He was the right appointment all those years ago but he built us off the back of a small club mentality. Would always play not to lose and make the players think that beating a bigger team at Goodison was a scalp like an FA cup giant killing, rather than what should be expected at a club like ours. Look at the pathetic comments by his captain and right-hand man Neville. No captain of our football club should ever tell us that finishing seventh is a miracle. Moyes chose him, Moyes played him and a whole host of limited footballers just because they were small time yes men and we lapped it up.

We have never shaken that mentality and every passing piece of dross that each subsequent manager has served up, is still partially a result of that mentality. The RS and United don't accept that mentality and we laugh at them for being delusional but look at us. We are starting to become Newcastle-esque. As In, there is just something poisonous, corrosive and not right at the club. That goes back to Moyes. If he came anywhere near us I would be livid. And yes, it is entirely possible for him to have been the man to save us from sliding into obscurity AND go on to break us.

No matter what happens now, please no more nostalgic Moyes talk. Makes me sicker than seeing Steven Gerrard's smug face taunting us at every opportunity.

He's been excellent with Hull and now Watford albeit early days. But very true; even then if he was to leave next summer be his 5th team in 4 years and that's crazy.
Aye that’s a worry. I’d like to see some sustained progress from him. I remember this forum championing Owen Coyle as our next manager for long periods of time.

The past two managers we’ve had have delivered a good first season. It’s moving the team up through levels year after year that’s the quality you pay the big money for. Or we’re back to square one before we know it.

Cool heads by those in power needed now. But I feel the frustration and worry same as anyone.
