It probably doesn't matter who we may or may not appoint as manager, we're done as a top club. When I first started going the match we were the 'Mersey Millionaires' envied and resented by many. Now we are 'plucky Everton' patronised and pitied by all.
For too long we have been owned by people who lack the will, determination or finances to maintain, build on or re-establish our position at the top table. Chelsea and Man City have shown what it takes and we lack it. I fear our day is done.
Go for Sean Dyche or Unsworth , both could probably 'do a job' and maintain our mid table status which is all our owners seem to want, for all their fine words and bombast.
this all day long, we quite simply finished as a top club, Phillip Carter, Peter Johnson, Kenwright all have a responsibility in that, even our fans just sit in and accept that dross served up by Koeman and his expensively assembled bunch of failures, we are finished

He was I think worked with the reserve team

In October 2008, Sherwood joined Tottenham Hotspur as assistant first team coach, under new manager Harry Redknapp.[14] Sherwood became Technical Director in 2012 and in that role led Spurs' Under-21 side in the inaugural Under-21 Premier League season, guiding the side to finish top in both group and elite stages. Sherwood's side eventually lost the league final 3–2 to Manchester United.

From Wiki, so I'm not far off.

We were a big club probably upto the start of the " new league " that formed I remember someone posting on here it had the " heavy weights " the chairman signing the deal and they included us and Carter signing it.
yeah and they sat back and invested nothing into the team, that and the kings dock failure is the reason we are where we are today. do yourself a favour and walk away because we are finished

Think we are in a similar position that spurs found themselves with villas boas good first season sold there star player bale then brought a load of players in and it didn't go well and they got rid before Christmas I think .then appointed Sherwood from within that didn't work and finally hit the jackpot with pochettino. The temptation will be to appoint unsworth but the longer term aim would be trying to identify another pochettino easy said than done I know
