Don't believe for a second Giroud would have got us out of trouble. There's been no service at all, because Everton despite having two number 10s on the pitch had no creativity in the final third.

Playing WBs without actually having STRONG WBs that can run up and down the pitch the entire game hurt. Baines can't do it for a half these days. Vlasic offered a bit of width but only because he was forced to. Every TV analysis I've seen is about Rooney, Sigs, Vlasic occupying the same space making it easy to defend. Even with Sig and Vlasic on the bench, Rooney is too slow to do it on his own and there's no support because Everton's counters are poor.

Finally as everyone has said, Everton's defence is among the worst in the league, and honestly are very lucky to even be on 8 points, considering the Stoke game was a 1-0 and Niasse got them out of jail in the other game. The only game where they looked like they deserved something was the Man City game.

i thought you supported everton?

In reality neither should have gone - Moshiri should have had the bottle to weather the storm. But the pressure was such that a head had to role - made sense that that was the manager as generally that's the role held accountable, even if others in the club are equally culpable...
Koeman at the very least had to go. The board have made plenty of mistakes but this wasn't one.

Little reverse Google search on the Profile photo is the key giveaway. Unless they've gone through the lengths to hide it, it usually comes back under a Stock Photo gallery.

Half-term in full swing.

General rule of thumb is there is about 4 people who ever have news on Everton - and you already know those names, other news about the club would then be based on who it came from - as if it involves another clubs players or manager then some journos have reps with various other clubs etc.

Bloke you've never heard of says something, file it in the whopper section

Yep. Big news comes from the 'Core Four' - Joyce, King, Hunter and Bascombe.

However, if it was to be Tuchel you'll get the German reports - SportBILD or Sky German - ahead of time, a photo of him in the Airport (they love that) and then the photo of him landing over here in the Mail.

International break, hopefully boxed. Whoever it is.

Thanks - have felt a bit in the minority but I really think there were a lot of mitigating factors re the Koeman situation - he didn't on the whole appear to have lost the dressing room. Sure, players were down but any team would be running out twice a week with no striker and an ageing defence - how can any manager magic up a solution to that, other than signing new players...

We did well to get Koeman in - I think we'll struggle to replace him with someone of the same calibre. We could have Sam Allardyce or Sean Dyche on a fire fighting mission, battling relegation - but they're not the 'proven winners at the top end of the table' that we were previously crying out for - to try to crack the top 4

he ballsed it up mate good and proper it actually could be worse because he allowed Niasse to move before that broke down at the last minute which would have left DCL and Sandro as our strikers.

Pretty much so yeah mate, the German side of it may be a bit quiet on this one though, purely because he's not tied to any club so no leaks from that end, his agent basically has only him as a client as well so not exactly gonna be spamming the papers.

My guess is that IF we did go for him, we'd literally hear nothing until the day before or even the day it happened
