I think Koeman. like I said Giroud was his one and only-and I think he rejected every other striker option !
Think he'd have had Costa - and no doubt others, Welbeck etc? even if not perfect solutions. Llorente is one we should have tried harder for I think....

And to think how a lot of fans used to moan about Lukaku.....

It's everyone else's fault other than Koeman's...the players, Walsh, Giroud's missus, the misaligning of the stars...

He bought that squad and he owns the mess that goes with it.
I think he specified the players he'd like to see come in - Walsh and team then led execution of the transfers, as well as inputting ideas re who we should sign....

Thought we were scrabbling around for Benteke, Costa, Bas Dost and the Portuguese lid on the last day of the window?
None of whom wanted to come.

What's even more disturbing here though, is that it is exactly the same thing that happened the year before when we ended up with West Ham's cast off on loan, Enner Valencia.

Forward 12 months and it's like they learned nothing from that situation.

Don't believe for a second Giroud would have got us out of trouble. There's been no service at all, because Everton despite having two number 10s on the pitch had no creativity in the final third.

Playing WBs without actually having STRONG WBs that can run up and down the pitch the entire game hurt. Baines can't do it for a half these days. Vlasic offered a bit of width but only because he was forced to. Every TV analysis I've seen is about Rooney, Sigs, Vlasic occupying the same space making it easy to defend. Even with Sig and Vlasic on the bench, Rooney is too slow to do it on his own and there's no support because Everton's counters are poor.

Finally as everyone has said, Everton's defence is among the worst in the league, and honestly are very lucky to even be on 8 points, considering the Stoke game was a 1-0 and Niasse got them out of jail in the other game. The only game where they looked like they deserved something was the Man City game.

So now Koeman is gone what do you think of Walsh?

Willing to give him a chance or equally to blame.

...as said, "Everyone but Ronald".

I reckon that'll be a sitcom on Dutch tv shortly.
Well yes - that's because obviously others were involved in the process......

Surprised you're not advocating the return of Roberto Martinez to sort things out....now that is someone who was given a long period to turn things round

In reality neither should have gone - Moshiri should have had the bottle to weather the storm. But the pressure was such that a head had to role - made sense that that was the manager as generally that's the role held accountable, even if others in the club are equally culpable...
