I'm surprised I'm able to type this well after spooning my own eyeballs out.Gary Neville.

I think beating Man City 4-0 was a bit better than that result to be fair.
Bed pan for me, please.Bed, ban and beyond?
He did very well AFAIK, but like you say it's been a long time since he had those sort of challenges. The bloke's basically been tuning Ferraris for over 15 years, and does anyone think that's the type of job he'd have on his hands here? More like a busted volvo in a ditch - need a bit of a hairy-arsed operator to fix that situation.Just looking at Ancelotti's previous clubs does anyone remember how he did at Parma and Reggiana? His last 5 clubs have been in contention for or expected to win the league. Firstly I don't think he would come and secondly I wonder if he could get us going. It's a very different challenge to managing a team of superstars
I hear scary rumours of Walter Mazzari being sounded outMay aswell get Silva from Watford
He would certainly get some early good results and consequently instil a bit of confidence, but probably best used as a caretaker manager for now.I still think we should keep Koeman for now, but if he was to go then I think Unsworth should get a chance initially. Mainly because:
I think he'd be a popular choice amongst our players and fans.
He'd get the most out of our young players.
He seems like a good man manager.
He had a good winning formula last season.
He's an evertonian.
He would cost far less than a decent alternative.
And he was a boss penalty taker!
If he comes we may have a chance of finally landing our man....I hear scary rumours of Walter Mazzari being sounded out
I don't think he'd be getting a 5 year contract. A think he's earned a chance though. Isn't it the case that Everton have only ever won trophies with managers that have previously played for us?He would certainly get some early good results and consequently instil a bit of confidence, but probably best used as a caretaker manager for now.
Why would he a popular choice with the players? Players want to play for managers that have experience of working with world class players and winning trophies. Not an overweight reserve team coach who was a second rate player during one of the least successful periods in our history.I still think we should keep Koeman for now, but if he was to go then I think Unsworth should get a chance initially. How much longer would you give him?? he proved last season he has a winning streak in him as well as a losing streak... are we happy with that??Thing is, I sort of don't mind if he is a boom and bust type manager in terms of the results if the upswings are fantastic. But with us and Southampton, how stellar has it really been?
I do agree with @chicoazul in that Big Cowhead Ron is well capable of winning several on the bounce and turning it round. I remember the game down at Palace last season where yes, we had to score at the death to win but we totally bossed it, played an ace controlled way and you just knew we would find the winner. But is the peak really only ever going to be that sort of high?
Having calmed down from another CRUSH rampage yesterday, I think we've got a little more scope to wait a bit longer to find out. But it is running out.
