Chico said, "He’s turned messes around before, like last season for us in autumn and at Southampton previously".

To get himself into a mess once was a problem.
To get himself into a similar mess again is tantamount to it becoming a habit.
To go there again is nothing short of bizarre and inherently worrying.

He managed to get himself out of the first two, third time could be unlucky... for both him and the club.

I don't care if he bites the dust, I most certainly do care if he drags the club down with him !

Thing is, I sort of don't mind if he is a boom and bust type manager in terms of the results if the upswings are fantastic. But with us and Southampton, how stellar has it really been?

I do agree with @chicoazul in that Big Cowhead Ron is well capable of winning several on the bounce and turning it round. I remember the game down at Palace last season where yes, we had to score at the death to win but we totally bossed it, played an ace controlled way and you just knew we would find the winner. But is the peak really only ever going to be that sort of high?

Having calmed down from another CRUSH rampage yesterday, I think we've got a little more scope to wait a bit longer to find out. But it is running out.

Too good for us

Will want out from under Ashley at some point, family apparently still live on Merseyside, seemingly would be given money to spend, style of play isn't that far removed from Koeman (just a hell of a lot better) which makes the transition easier...

I'd be up for it tbh.

Unsworth until end of season, if he impressive give him it full time. Sound out other managers in that time in that time in case we think he is best suited to the u23's.

I would love Unsworth to be given a chance and take it though.

Some names mentioned like Tuchel and Ancellotti are unrealistic. I quite liked the idea of Favre last year aswel as Paco Jamez at Vellacano but he's chased the $$$ in Mexico I believe.

Would like Nagelsmann, Jardim or Sarri but I think they could be unrealistic also to be honest.

Realistically:-

Unsworth
Lucien Favre
Qique Flores

I think beating Man City 4-0 was a bit better than that result to be fair.
