Had Moshiri appointed Allardyce after sacking Koeman I would be questioning his ambition just as you are, but the disaster that is this season has completely changed the paradigm.

Also, if the board really are "very worried about going down" Steve Walsh should be sacked immediately as he is partly responsible for this mess by failing to do his job.

I'd prefer Sam over dyche, both managers will probabily see us to mid table but dyche would be on a long deal 3 years + were as Sam would accept a deal that lasts to the end of the season.
