Allardyce would be a disaster, yes he would keep us up but 99% of the fans wouldn't want him here even if he did. If we are going to go down that route I'd much rather have Pulis than him, who at least has Crystanbul on his CV.

If Pulis was manager we’d grow to hate him. I never want to hate him after Crystanbul, don’t tarnish the memory. Saints Jose and Pulis slaying the living nightmare that was unfolding. Glorious.

We haven't won anything since 1995...nothing.

Some on here are not happen because they want a manager that will have us playing good football and winning.

I don't care if our goalkeeper is our leading scorer as long as we are winning.

I don't care if Fat Sam is appointed as long as we are winning. If we keep winning matches and can win some trophies maybe in time we can have a standing in the game where we can attract managers like Mourinho or Guardiola but we are a million miles away from that now.

I want a manager that will get us winning and I don't care how we do it.

NES is a bit of a left-field shout.

Some quick facts - currently at Wolves and previously at Porto and Valencia. Was a goalkeeper in his playing career with the bulk of his first team appearances coming from loans at other clubs. His overall win percentage as a manager is 49.5% but has never won a trophy.

you'd need a wheel barrow to carry the balls needed to take a punt on this, but no guts no glory.

Not happening.

What worries me is we could end up like Sunderland and have about 9 different managers in a few years. Right now we are that club that no one wants a part of. No manager out there excites me, it makes me wonder about their knowledge of the game. Some fradulent managers out there stealing a living and I worry the next one won't be any better than what we have had.

We are THAT club that is the poisoned chalice, we are THAT club who could be the next big side to exit the Premier League.

Unfortunately I think you're right.

This is why I believe we should go for Dyche. A down to Earth hard working manger who wI'll get us organised and hard to beat. It's not an exciting appointment I agree but it's what is needed IMO.

Get on some of them comments from Wolves' fanslol

They actually think they'll be the bigger draw next season.

We're going to take your manager and make him balder than he already is.
Read their forum. My take away from all this is, 'who?' and it sounds like they have some players worth taking - and if they are as good as they think they are, it probably won't be by us, but top 6/ CL teams from abroad.

But on the fact that it ain't Big Sam or Sean Paul, let's have Nuno Santa Claus to deliver us some Christmas cheers.

well yes there is that
I'd rather cling to the shipwreck than jump onboard the aligator that is Sean or the crocodile that is Big Sam. The NES-ter represents a friendly dolphin at this moment.

I am looking forward to more and newer names. NES has cheered me up immeasurably compared to just having the Sam/ Sean connections only live at the moment.

Have you just announced a new mini Weasel Index here?
Can I put a marker down for seeing Roy Keane in a Fish and Chip shop with Dunc trying to work out which one is going to be the 'Bad Cop' in their new Management Partnership which will be announced at a Press Conference after the International Break?

The worrying thing is that we have no attacking potential worthy of the name and we would be reliant on these players pulling their finger out for another man who comes in and threatens them with a tough regime and who demands more.

We need to keep calm, of course. But this is an extraordinary situation and we need a good slice of luck to get the right appointment in.

I completely agree.

Until January we are stuck with no attacking options other than DCL , Rooney and Niasse, all of which are sadly not up to the job of scoring goals regularly enough.

An even more worrying situation is our defence.

Whoever comes in , whether it be Rhino , Allerdyce, Dyche, Tuchel, Ancholotti or anyone else we care to mention, they all face the same problem.

We are stuck with what we have until the January window opens, and even then, will we be in a position to attract the type and calibre of players we need to get us out of this hole?

We've been left in this situation by the complete mismanagement of our beloved club by those people who pretend to hold this club close to their hearts.
