What worries me is we could end up like Sunderland and have about 9 different managers in a few years. Right now we are that club that no one wants a part of. No manager out there excites me, it makes me wonder about their knowledge of the game. Some fradulent managers out there stealing a living and I worry the next one won't be any better than what we have had.

We are THAT club that is the poisoned chalice, we are THAT club who could be the next big side to exit the Premier League.

Understand where you're coming from but there's really not many parallels at all between us and Sunderland. The writing has been on the wall for them for years and the only surprise is they've managed to limp through until this summer.

With respect to changing managers I think that's why we need to have a solid football structure. Like it or not it's a short term job now and we have to mitigate the stress and risk every time there's a change. It's why for me we hire the person who fits our model and we should never kowtow to any new manager.

Put simply, they work for us and if in 3 years they've won nothing move them on. Real success should be the defining criteria for their employment, we need to move towards that mindset in my opinion.

Who is there to achieve that with us? We removed dead wood last season, now we seem to have even more

Question:
Do we think that we would have started the process of looking at other candidates?
Or would we hold fire until Unsworth's 'interview' is over, widely seen to be until the international break?

There's loads of competent managers in the world, same as Giroud isn't the only #9 on the planet or Sigurdsson the only #10.

We should have been looking at Koeman's replacements for at least the last few weeks of his reign. Not sounding people out would be a sign of incompetence.

Mate its both.

If you cant defend and cant score goals, there's only one place we are heading.

Yep. As we can't buy a forward until Jan, close up shop and get tight. Try and instill some teamwork and confidence.

We should always have a shortlist from the day the new manager joins. What if he becomes sick or absolutely Mike Walkers it? A contingency plan should always be ready to act upon. That's just risk management for a properly run organisation.

There can't be anymore no:10s left on the planet surely, didn't we sign them all?
