Allardyce has a chance of keeping Everton up. Players will believe in him as he has a record of success in this regard. It's the only appointment that makes any sense. Inevitable.

Allardyce would be a disaster, yes he would keep us up but 99% of the fans wouldn't want him here even if he did. If we are going to go down that route I'd much rather have Pulis than him, who at least has Crystanbul on his CV.

In all of the media frenzy over the last couple of days it seems clear that Unsworth is now considered a rank outsider, which I personally think is unfair. Given this state of affairs (if true), would it not be wise for the club to now act quickly, before the players realise they are only playing for a temporary manager and down tools?
