If we win tomorrow and Sunday, does unsy get the job???

No. If "Unsy" wants the Everton managers job as he says he does, he needs to leave the club, take another job or even jobs somewhere else - learn his trade as a proper no'1, do it well consistently, promotion(s) etc. Then if and when he's ready apply for the job at some point in the future, but he's not ready now!

Surely what is most likely is what has been happening for the whole year so far?!

What is most likely I would say is what happens in the vast majority of Premier League seasons. The quality rises up the table, or at least moves up enough to be safe, and there are generally at least 3 very bad teams that will guarantee the safety of any bigger club having a bit of a crap season.

That's generally what happens. A one-off might occur and we drop, but I really prefer we don't plan for that when really we are just a few points and a couple of solid performances off having the majority of the fanbase settling down and laying off the panic mode.

We need to move for somebody with a proper long term plan in mind.

What about "Zidy" from Madrid?

We're 10 games into a 38 game season. Positions change on a weekly basis.

You don't know what he will want. The fact that his agent is listening to the offer suggests that there is interest in the position, and why wouldn't there be? As I said, we're one of the top jobs to take in the country.

I bet you my season card he stays there

Wouldn't it be nice if a manager such as Ancelotti or Tuchel actually came out in the press and said "Do you know what, I'd love to manage a Club the size of Everton with it's unrivaled passionate fan base, history & massive potential, I've already made contact with their Chairman".

Instant rapport, respect and feel good factor.

Instead we have the Wolves manager putting the word out on the local Brummie media that he's better off at Molineux.

Oh, Everton ................

Think Unsworth is being written off too soon to be honest. I think his odds are looking generous at the moment.

It's entirely results dependent, if he wins tomorrow and at the weekend there are going to be scores of people saying he deserves the job, probably me included. If we don't win either he'll almost certainly be replaced during the international break as he would have very little fan support - a loss at home to Watford mind would have everybody panicking.

It's a shame for Unsy it really is, we can't honestly make any kind of educated prediction on whether he has the right aptitude to be a top flight manager as the squad he's got to try and get a tune out of is hopelessly short - not his fault at all. Europe is also burdensome as he doesn't get the chance to have a full week training with the players so it's very difficult for him.
