Nobody seems to want to back up their reputation or ability in management though, that's the problem.

Nobody decent who would take the money and think to themselves that they can sort us out, even if it takes time.

It's all about wanting a huge transfer budget and looking to the next window.

Instead we are seen as too much of a risk, with not enough money. Too much hard work for 6M a year.

It isn't as easy as throwing money at someone when its a merry-go-round to begin with. Tuchel and Ancelotti have the luxury of choosing their next move.

They can still fail and be rewarded handsomely. A prospective relegation fight for a club that hasn't won anything for 23 years with a meagre budget isn't appealing in the slightest to them.

So, its Allardyce/Dyche on one hand, and a more unknown foreign punt on the other.

I don't envy the board. They would be crazy not to make contact with Tuchel etc, but getting them here is another matter entirely.

Tuchel wont take this job while he knows he still has a chance at Bayern, people keep saying this Bagelburger will get it, but what if Hoffenheim utterly tank this season, he will defo be out the frame then.

Its a pipe dream sadly, hence us getting linked to only dross, Koeman was the highest profile manager we could have got last summer, in just 6months we are looking around at the dreggs, how quickly you fall.

We've got to stop wanting to have 'ex-blues' at the club, spouting we're different blah blah blah. Once of the reasons we're in this mess is the fact that we are an over sentimental club (aided and abetted by Mr Kenwright) and we always have to have some 'ex blues' in and around the club.
Get rid of them all and get some winners in.................none of the ex-blues at the club know what it's like to win, they're perennial losers like us and the whole club.

Yup and that includes kenwright sorry but he needs to step down and just be a general fan

Wouldn't it be nice if a manager such as Ancelotti or Tuchel actually came out in the press and said "Do you know what, I'd love to manage a Club the size of Everton with it's unrivaled passionate fan base, history & massive potential, I've already made contact with their Chairman".

Instant rapport, respect and feel good factor.

Instead we have the Wolves manager putting the word out on the local Brummie media that he's better off at Molineux.

Oh, Everton ................

First part ( we wish ) lol and second part it's sadly true!

I think its beneficial for a new manager to keep on one person from the old regime, for a period at least, just to ensure they have their eyes and ears open with regard to players, and any issues within the squad. It eases the transition. That was one of the fatal mistakes Moyes made at Utd.

The obvious person is Unsworth, but only if the new manager is agreeable. Now is the time to move him out of the U23s and into a position with the first team squad.

Sadly, I see no role for Duncan, unless its with the academy or U23s. He seems more suited to being a club ambassador to me, but we have more than enough of those already.

Not saying you're lying, but The Sun were the paper that ran with the Ancelotti wanting Clement as his No.2 story.

I'm guessing a paper that is banned at the club will not have much information about our next manager.

Not necessarily but I understand where you are coming from.

I've been on GOT a long time. I've always advised of my dads involvement in the game throughout my time here.

I'm 35 & my dad is 68! Neither of us have any motivation to make things up, believe me!

It's hardly breaking news anyway, but just thought I share with fellow blues what my dad had learnt at a game last night. He's been a scout & top level a very long time & has made a lot of friends along the way from every club. So does hear bits now & again

Wasn't he out of a job, when anceloti was sacked?
And if yes, Why wasn't he appointed then?

The Guardian article on NES today suggests that we're looking to have a new manager sorted out by the international break either way.

Get rid of the lot of them, Unsworth, Ebbrell, Ferguson...........losers. Get some winners in, it would make a difference. I know Unsworth won the Zingari Under 23 title but come on, not even league 2 standard. Start afresh and bin all the ex blue losers

From what I've read, Big Sam would bin all the staff on the senior team.

Who's fault is that tho.... We know the answer mate!
