The club needs the toxic elements, hangers on and borderline corruption cutting out of it mate, allardyce would add years and multiple added levels to that, and once he left we'd go down dragged by all the poison he left throughout the club.

Not one club has survived post him, and look at the collection of corrupt and inept owners who choose him over others.

He's the instant fix for an immediate situation but leaves long term damage which will take years to cleanse.

But isn't that down to the owners choices afterwards and probably why he wants assurances?

West Ham did better then they are now. Palace and Sunderland we're rescue jobs. Blackburn got Venkied. Newcastle thought they were better than him.

It’s just so difficult. Sam has a record of keeping crap teams up. We’re much bigger than the teams he usually saves. Could he do it here?!

Then there’s the more glamorous ones. Say Tuchel for example. Absolutely no track record over here. Could go either way. But because it’s Everton we could all have a fair stab at what way it will go.

Yeah, Tuchel badly stinks of something like 3 wins over the next 3 months and serious relegation trouble. Knowing our luck Sam would probably tell us to leg it at that point.

I think therein lies the rub, if we go for Sam, then to some it will be acceptance of mediocrity. If we go for Tuchel, its an interesting move which some will laud but there is no guarantee of how he will adapt.

Its a big statement they are about to make with this appointment.
Palace get 2 million if we hire him big Sam!

Then there's the outlay. He's let Koeman spent a fortune, he gonna do the same in January for Tuchel (unknown) or Big Sam (will know what he wants).

At the start of the season you would take Koeman above all three of those options very comfortably and I was never a fan of his at all.

The self inflicted damage from the summer transfer window is mind boggling, Newcastle/West Ham levels of incompetence from all involved.

I think you can add Leeds to that list too.

Every now and again there seems to be that one club implodes, right now we're quite lucky that West Ham are imploding at at the same time as us, so they're keeping us company.

Yeah but that maybe balanced a bit. He may not buy as many players as Tuchel but Sam will most likely want a bigger salary than what we could get away with paying Tuchel.

Honestly have no idea who I would pick, who we will pick nor how it will all go.

You've gotta hope there's enough in this squad to get us into mid table, especially once a striker comes in.

But as you say, there's no way you could convince yourself everything will be okay. The next three games should give us a decent insight anyway. All potential opportunities for points. We come away from those games with bugger all to show then I think the alarm bells might ring a bit louder.

I've always maintained we have been a couple of bad managerial appointments away from the drop. We have virtually no assets on the playing staff. A few kids perhaps who someone might spend money on their potential. That aside there wouldn't be a queue forming for any of our players.

Moyes, Martinez, and Koeman were all in the top ten best paid managers in world football.

Whoever comes in will get paid the same.

It’s defo not big Sam we’re after. We really need to hear some words from the club now. The silence and inactivity from the board is appalling.
